Soooooooooo . . . I found out what the problem was. It wasn't that the game expired- my Playstation Plus membership did. The game was free to all Playstation Plus members, and when the membership ran out, so did the availability of the game. Fixed that for now, and continuing the game. Doing all the side quests, crafting all that I can, and having a freaking blast. Regardless of 75% of the story or art details of a game, if it isn't fun I won't play. In this case, I didn't care about the furries (until I looked up the porn and am still okay with that even now), I care that it is a well-crafted and polished experience that is very much worth the price at $15 and then some.
Honestly, Snowman . . . I'd get it. I'd get it soon. There are no theological issues such as different gods and such, though some "paths" for NPCs are mentioned. The choice of faith is not an issue, and is more of an issue with tolerance versus genocide. It is far easier to see who is discriminated against when all the major characters are mammalian, and the oppressed are reptilian/amphibian.
Seriously? I don't care that you told me to shush. You suck. And I love you. *tackleglugglegrope*

Ah, that's an interesting snag with the Sony subscription/membership. Oh, I completely agree. While audiovisual excellence is nice (and I've never cared about how good the graphics are, only that they fit the game itself), I care far more about gameplay. Story even takes a backseat to gameplay for me, though I know most nowadays value story more highly.
Oh, I wouldn't not play a game just b/c it has made-up religions or anything. I love Morrowind to death, and that game's religious systems are quite strange. After all, it is just fantasy, not reality. *checks Steam library* I actually already own it due to a Humble Bundle somewhere along the way; that happens a lot for indies. Ah, yes, now tolerance, real/true/original/correct tolerance, is a topic I could go on about for quite a while.
Welcome, Flareon!
