About
My name is Kevin. I was born in Sacramento, California and currently still live here. Sacramento is known as the home of minorities (stated by Times Magazine.) It is also the capital of California. Everyone is a minority here. We are also the 5th city with the most trees in it. The whole Sacramento region has about 1.3m inhabitants in it. I live in the suburban area of Sacramento, namely the southern parts.

My name in Traditional Chinese Characters. The first is my Surname, the second is my generation name, the last one is... well... my name ^^. (My gaia name is in Mandarin pronunciation though so... and I am Cantonese ^.^; )
Yeah, same here. It's just a new year on the calendar and the seasons start cycling over again. (Though it is fun because of the parties and the cheerful mood many people get themselves into. XD )
Well I hope that you get admitted ^^
A Japantown? Hahah nice! smile More reason to go now eh? I’ve never spent a lot of time in San Jose so I’ve never been there. *looks it up* Oh, apparently there’s a Japanese-American museum there. We’ve got one in LA too, but it’s the National museum. I think I went there on a school trip once a while ago, but I don't remember it. *makes note to go again*
Traveling is one of my dreams, yeah, cliche, I know...seems to be that way for a lot of people... I have some friends that I’ve got to with though, because there are certain places they want to go with me to. The only issue is money; I hope I'll have enough to be able to satisfy my curiosity... ><
Your quest to find your Japanese name got me a bit curious about the equivalent kanji for my own. My first name means “protector of men” so I found things that meant defender/guardian/soldier, and my last name literally means “small” so I tried to find things that meant small/humble. I think it’s best to leave my name untranslated though; none of the combinations I got seemed right and some of them I’d certainly never want use to refer to myself by because they’d just be awkward or they might seem pretentious. >< Thus, I suspect literal meaning translations for European names aren’t that popular in most cases…
Hehe, me too, but some people seem pretty enthusiastic about it so I thought I'd ask. *shrug*
Awesome! Good luck getting admitted! What will you be studying there? got any ideas as to what you wanna do with your entire life? XD
the only thing I know for certain in what I want to do in life is that if I fail in absolutely all my other pursuits, I will travel to South Korea and teach English to small children...that's my last plan in life, yep, English teacher. ><
that is pretty cool that you can do that with your name! smile
My name, well, you can't do anything with it, at all. It's virtually the same in everyone language that uses it and there are no variations of it and you can't really...do...anything with it I don't think, eh...whatever. ><
How've you been? Excited for the New Year, or do you not really care? smile
Lots of work this year huh? I haven't been on that much for extended periods of time either, it's mostly just to check up on my guild and things for a few minutes. Too much to do....(like that Civil War research paper I should probably start working on... >< )
Oh that's kind of neat...how'd you find that out? smile
