I did another image that I thought was much better quality, and has much better anatomy, composition and color pallette....and yet that seems to have gotten more ratings and a higher rating than this crappy image that I did up in an hour (the other one I spent about 10 hours on). That image was not anime; that other image was my own distinct style.
So yes, anime junk does get more attention. It's sad because I think it's - Report As Spam

- I think people should be more open to other forms of art, like what you guys are saying. don't get me wrong i think that anime is awsome. but i think it sad that people don't let themselfs apreciate other forms of art. I feel doing that really helps find your own unique style.

OMG that is what I have been saying for the longest on here and on deviantart.com
No matter what quality the art is and it happens to be anime, it's going to get a high rating. I used to do a lot of anime work, but I have long since left it to develop my own style. I've noticed that those who do something other than anime, get lower ratings.

- Like I said, this was vent art. I was drawing it just to get myself going so I could work on something else. It's not my best, it's rather lazily done. I just posted it here to see if it's true: that anime pictures get higher reviews than any other styles of art, regardless of quality.

I think your shading is just wonderfully done. The concept is wonderful as well, and I can see this piece going a lot further if you were to hone in on your skills. Well done, and by far, my most favorite piece done on here by another artist. If you would like help on coloring in digital programs, I just may be able to show you what I know ^^
