This is my Original Character, Jenevi. Took 15 hours or so to complete because I switched up my style and rarely use color.

- I gave her a bolder face because she's a strong woman, not a dainty flowery mary-sue and it's proper anatomy, but thanks smile

- maybe its the angle but her features look a lil more on the masculine side, and the under eye crease should be somewhat closer to her eye i think.

- I tried gimp but I just couldn't use it after playing with my photoshops you know? For the lashes I just used a simple small brush with a darker brown color at a 18% opacity so I could build up the color and lashes gradually. I know what you mean about the hair though, especially since I gave her shine to her lips, didn't realize it until now, now I have to go fix that!

I love her hair and eyes, though to better bring out a sense of depth would be to add highlights as well, this way you'd have a definate lightsource to work with.
How did you do the lashes by the way, they're beautiful.
If you want an equivalent to the current photoshop, you can try Gimp. It's free and works just as good. - Report As Spam
