She stays there to study the students, seeing which ones can become kishin [Demon god]. She engages in an intense battle with Dr. Stein, to allow the awakening of the first kishin. She had the upper hand, but her moment of pleasure at Asuras resurrection allows Stein to slice her in half. Medusa has been proven to be alive possessing a girl named Rachel.

- Thank you all for your comments and votes. Pertaining to missmacks comment, this Medusa is from Soul eater. She has snake based magic but she doesn't turn anyone to stone.
