Erick Lee Purkhiser, known by his stage name of Lux Interior, was the lead singer and one of the founding members of The Cramps. He and his wife, Poison Ivy-the lead guitarist- were the only permanent and two founding members to last throughout the career of the band. The "Psychobilly" band lasted 33-34 years, with 9 albums, and a legendary title, up until Lux's death of February 4th, 2009.
