First appeared in Street Fighter Alpha 2, Evil Ryu is the version of Ryu who fell to the Satsui no Hadou, an evil fighting style meant to kill. The reason behind is solely to defeat Sagat, the defending champion who crushed him, according to the Street Fighter Alpha series. The scar on Sagat's face was caused by Evil Ryu's Metsu Shoryuken.
