After his philanthropic parents were murdered infront of him while returning form the movies, Bruce Wayne vowed he would rid Gotham of the evil that took their lives. At age 14, he began traveling abroad learning how to defend himself using martial arts, how to ignore pain, how to become one with the shadows and how to escape from any dangerous situation. Once he returned, he adopted the persona of his greatest fear and began waging his war on crime.
