Loki Laufeyson is the evil and powerful God of Mischief from the realm of Asgard, as well as The Mighty Thor's adoptive brother and nemesis. He is the main antagonist in The Avengers, and his goal is to subjugate the Earth with the help of the Chitauri army in exchange for the powerful Asgardian artifact called the Tesseract.
