Through some turn of events, she was re-programmed as a glitch in the game, after the main villain Turbo hijacked the game for his own selfish gain and fame. With the help of Ralph, Vanellope is able to regain her place as Queen of Sugar Rush, by cheating her way into the game's main character choices and winning a race that rids Turbo one and for all.
