Having witnessed his entire village slaughtered and being the only survivor, Bakura vowed to get revenge on the one he thought was responsible -- the Pharaoh. He also made a pact with the demon Zorc, which only further brought him into darkness. He is nothing but a pawn to Zorc and is later killed when he fulfilled his side of the pact.
