The Hindenburg Disaster was when a Zeppelin, the LZ 129 Hindenburg, caught fire as it was landing. Most of the people on board survived, but 13 out of 36 passengers, and 22 out of 61 crew, died. Mostly from jumping out of the burning ship. The passengers who stayed inside, generally survived.
