Gwee had worked hard to make Mommy proud of his new mountain of treasure. He had piled it as high as it would go, and had even made himself a nest in the middle of it. And all of it was piled onto black velvet, because, as Mommy always said, gold never looked better than when against black velvet. Unless it was on fire, of course, but that tended to make the mountains not so tall....
