- Description: In Ancient Greece, one of the monsters, that were a constant worry in the mountains as well as the skies and close to the forests, was called a harpy. They are a dangerous breed of creature because they're carnivorous in nature and are known for picking up their prey, taking them to their nest and killing them for themselves and/or their chicks. A harpy is half human and half bird in appearance.
