It was a cold day in Poland on September 1, 1939.
Cecylia and her mom were shopping. As she walked she saw something in a store's window. It was a small toy cat.
"Do you want it?" Her Mother asked, and she nodded.
"Did you hear? Hitler's at it again." someone said.
"Mom,Who's Hitler?" asked Cecylia.
"A bad man." Her mother said.
"The Germans are attacking!" Someone screamed.
Cecylia didn't know what happened but it was quick, people were running and then her mom was gone
"Mommy!" She screamed. - Date: 01/01/2012
