- avi is a spirit (BUBBLEGUM CAT SPIRIT) and spirits are generally portrayed as only scary and the hands are like ominous claws. But the color scheme makes it look cute which isn't a threatening concept, thus the description asking why can't evil spirits also be cute. Cute, but still a scary ghost...
