While I sat upon stump,
and felt like I was in a dump,
I watched the old leaves falling,
which got my mind a-stalling,
away from thoughts of more important things.
Along passed a furry friend,
who told me, "Summer's almost near the end."
I replied, "That's nothing new,"
and we both bid adieu,
