This is something I read in a church flyer I thought it was inspirational and I wanted to share with my friends.<br />
Sociologists tell us that we have only 8-12 friends in a lifetime. Now we may know more people than that. In fact, we may even consider them our friends. But there is a kind of friendship that goes beyond the normal social interaction in our lives. A true friend appreciates the importance of confidentiality. Gossip is something a true friend is not interested in. A true friend knows how to be lovingly honest. We don't need a bunch of "yes" people who tell us what they think we want to hear. We need people who will encourage us, challenge us, motivate us, correct us, and hang with us through the ups and downs of life. Proverbs 17:17 says, "A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity." Take some time to Praise God for the Blessing of friendship that you enjoy. Thank him for your true friendships. Ask him to help you to be a true friend to those who need you.<br />
