The Lure of Insurrection by Choco

In the darkness we are helpless and crippled. Left to the mercy of fate as we await the inevitable demise wrought by the void. We wander aimlessly until a single spark of hope lights the fire of our future. Suddenly a bright beacon engulfs the horizon. Pulling us from the deepest grave of our forefathers, we wept. A fire truly magnificent, it fit even the most splendid descriptions. Dancing in a graceful stance, we pondered at the matter. A small inferno evolving to the greatest of its kind held us into its hugging embrace of curiosity. We remember smelling the sweetest aroma of Écouter petals. Hearing its unflustered whispers and soft and gentle warmth, we were enthralled by its propriety. It started with the warmth. Warmth so wholesome and enveloping, it was what we all felt. Then comes the heat, uncomfortable at first, sweat running down our backs it follows that in our folly we flew insistently driving forward into the fire. Our skins burned raw, the hairs and fibers on our back ablaze, leaving the smell of charred corpses in our nostrils. Our eyeballs dry, branded in fire, kept open by non-existent eyelids. We wanted to turn by that point, ready to go back to our elders, begging, crawling back to them. A wind, terrible, the ultimate sign of Nature's enmity against us drove us back to be burned for eternity. We wanted to scream through lungs that were in flames, bleed through blood that steamed a black haze around us, we wanted to die a death that seemed too far from our wretched lives. We were in hell for an eternity, and then all was dark.
