• Artist Info: Hey all! I'm Matt. I like to think of myself a straight foreward guy. If I don't like someone, I don't beat around the bush and drop off hints. I'll tell them right away that I don't like them. I think my way is more polite since it doesn't involve me being some kind of asshole. also, I really don't care how people perceive my hobbies or things I do because I see the purpose behind everything I do. I do care about the way I dress though. I like to dress differently from everyone else, but I wont be caught dead at a hot topic.
I have some big trust issues. I won't go into detail with this though. I'm not the kind of person that can instantly get along in a big crowd. I find people that I like and stick with it. I'm kind of a loner and I like to do things my own way. I don't like being watched while I do things, and I have a paranoia of people being behind me. I'm my own worst critic. I want things to be perfect when I do them because I have a high standard for myself. The problem with this is that I also like to procrastinate. When I'm with a girl that I like, I always try to be compassionate and understanding, but sometimes I come across a girl with low standards in guys just because they're used to being used. Girls like this seem to not worry about how a guy treats them, and they just want to have a boyfriend so they can be popular around the other girls.
You can call me a nerd for this, but I like fiddling with computers, and programing languages. I can use html, css, perl, python, java, c, and c . I prefer Linux over windows, because Most of what I do on a computer doesn't involve playing games. The only thing that windows has that Linux doesn't is compatibility with more game software and drivers. If you're good enough, you can solve these problems with just a bit of work on Linux. I recently put a computer together but it got ruined since the power source was faulty. The power source fried the motherboard, graphix card, cd-rom drive, keyboard and mouse. I prefer to work with software because of this. Electricity isn't my strong point.
Other hobbies I like include: Playing guitar, Playing drums(I'm not really good at it though), Exercising(I keep my body fit because I deplore outward laziness), Driving my go-carts, Card tricks, Some video games, Role-playing, and Social networking.
I value people who have some sort of skill. It doesn't matter to me if you're a super genious or not, but If you can't put your mind to at least one thing you like and get good at it, I don't think you'll be able to make much of yourself. I'm not saying this to put anyone down. If you search around just a little bit I'm sure you can find something that you're good at. Whether it's something like playing an instrument, or it's something less apparent like being able to solve a problem between two people, it's still valuable. On the other hand, I don't value the ability for some to be a complete asshole and get a crowd to laugh.
I love a good argument, but only on argument terms. I'm a democrat and I'll argue politics all day if you want, but don't turn the argument into a game of "well since you stuttered that last word I must be right" or "You have this or this wrong with you so you're wrong". If I'm playing a word game I'll play a word game. I won't drag irrelevant opinions into an argument just to help out my case. On the other hand you'll have people who just can't stand to be proven wrong, and they'll say all they can just to make themselves look right. This is a peeve of mine and it is the surest way to make me mad. Also, I really can't stand people who can't talk to me without turning the conversation into a preachy argument.
