• Marina laid there in her den about to give birth to her pups. Her body wasn’t ready to have pups. She gave birth to 3 boys and 3 girls. They all died after birth her attendant left to deliver the news. She cried her heart out until she felt something move. One of the pups was feeding it was the runt. She licked him happily “Thank you for being alive little one. I promise I won’t let anyone ever hurt you, Aiden.” Her mate walked in sad from hearing of his pups’ death. “Marina, I’m so sorry. I should have known you weren’t ready.”
“This one he’s alive.” She said joyfully. “They are all dead you said so yourself.” He said sadly. Aiden let out a small yawn having eaten enough. “He is alive.” “Yes he is.” She said smiling. “What is his name?” He asked happily. “His name is Aiden, our child, our pride and joy.” “And our family’s only heir.” He said leaving to tell everyone. Marina just laid there smiling as Aiden slept. She had finally brought someone successfully into life and she was determined to protect him and keep him alive. A few months later Aiden was walking but he never strayed to far away from her. They were moving to join a new pack. A bigger wolf started to bite at Aiden. She made her self a wall between them. “Are you the leader?” “Yes I am.” “I will be your mate if you let him live.” “Why should I he’s not mine.” “Because if you don’t I walk away.” “Fine but....” Two male wolves pinned her away from Aiden. The leader moved closer to Aiden and raised his paw. She heard Aiden cry out in pain. “You are the lowest member of our pack. You will eat last and the least you don’t complain. And if we fail it’s your fault.” The two males and their leader left after that. Marina ran over to Aiden there were three deep cuts straight down his face. She changed into her human form and pulled him close to her. “Mom it hurts.” “I know Hun.” Two years later Marina was with pups again. She had assigned Aiden to help her even though Mar’nok, the leader, had told her no. She could see Aiden was happy because for the first time he finally got real meat not just a small leftover bone. No one bit, hit, or called him name. She shook him “Aiden it’s time remember don’t go anywhere until I tell you.” Aiden nodded. Only one of the pups died but she now had 5 new sons to welcome to the world. Aiden greeted each and everyone as they fed. Two male walked around outside of the den they were in. “So how about some new born.” said one of the males reaching in with his mouth open. Aiden moved in front of it and the male tossed him against a tree. The impact had knocked him out. When he finally woke up he walked back into the den to find his mother crying. When she looked up at him she cried even harder “Xem they killed them every single one of them even Aiden. Please I don’t want to live without him, kill me.” “But M…..” “Do it.” Aiden bit down hard on her neck and she stopped breathing. Her spirit had been released she ran as fast as her spirit could to the spirit world. She wanted to find Aiden, she wanted to hold, and tell him it was okay. She looked everywhere but didn’t find him. So she went in search of him in the physical world. She found and he seemed to be staring right at her crying. She reached out to hold him but couldn’t. “No please no, take me back. Don’t make me leave him all alone. He needs me. He’s only three please.” She kept reaching out to hold him but still could not. She cried and it started to rain. “Happy Birthday, Aiden. Mommy misses you.” She before returning to the spirit world. His birthday had now past and she would never get to tell him ever again.
