• I woke up, scooted off my bed, while trying not to fall over, and walked over to my dresser. I opened it, grabbed a pair of jeans and a yellow sequenced tank-top, since the weather was iffy. Once I took my pajamas off, threw them on the floor, and replaced them with the clothes I just picked out. I grabbed my black low-top chuck tailors and shoved them on my feet.

I quickly ran down the steps, thinking the door was open, I didn't pause to stop and ran into the door. I mumbled, “ow,” quietly to myself. After opening the door and closing it behind me, I stepped down the porch steps to see Rafa, my best friend since I was little, waiting for me.

“What took you so long?” Rafa asked, her blonde hair swaying in the wind.

    “Slept in,” I admitted.

“Oh, you do that way too much, you should get an alarm clock,” she suggested.

“I don't need one,” I quickly said. Rafa rolled her baby blue eyes at me. We turned the corner and saw a big group of girls. I looked at Rafa and said, “I bet, anything, those girls are flirting with Cole.”

“I bet they are, but they would be lucky if one of those girls got his attention, you know he has been eying you for awhile now,” Rafa said.

“So, he's a rude guy, I would never even consider dating someone that stuck up,” I said. Cole looked over toward our direction and winked at me. Rafa tapped my arm.

“Geez, will he ever give up?” Rafa said, giggling. Cole moved around the girls that were crowded around him, who were now wondering who he winked at, he then sprinted across the very busy road, dodging cars, that were blaring hear horns. A speeding car came out of no where and slammed in to Cole, sending him flying over the car. Cole skidded across the pavement and the car kept on going. He quickly stood up and got off the road. He stopped us right in our path by standing in front of us.

“What?” I asked, glaring at him.

“Well, cant' a guy come flirt with a girl, who is cute?” Cole said, lifting my chin with his hand so I could stare into his green eyes and he could stare into my turquoise eyes. Cole wrapped his other arm around my waist. I heard some gasps from across the street, I guess from what Cole was doing.

“Well, why can't you just leave me alone?” I asked, removing his arm and hand.

“Why is that gorgeous? How could you resist me?” He asked obnoxiously, placing his arm back around my waist.

“Lets see, you are stuck up,” I turned around, removing his arm once more, and started to walk away, but he grabbed my wrist with a death grip and pulled me super close to him, so I could feel his body heat radiating off his body onto my body, and kissed me. I could hear all the girls, still across the road, screaming because Cole kissed me and not them. I pushed him away, far enough to slap him across the face. I turned around and quickly walked away from town, listening to all the girls screaming and crying to see if Cole was alright or not. I heard someone, a guy maybe, calling my name. I ignored the voice, thinking it was Cole, and kept walking. Eventually, I heard the person catch up with me and touched my arm, I turned around and slapped the person. When I looked to see who it was, it was Lucas. I've had a major crush on Lucas ever since I first talked to him, mainly because he saved my life. I love his hazel eyes and dirty blonde hair. We barely see each other and when we do see each other, we would only have small talk.

“Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry, are you okay, Lucas?” I asked him, while lightly touching the red mark I made on his cheek.

“Yeah, I'm fine,” Lucas said, rubbing his cheek in pain.

“Here, lets go sit on this bench and look at it,” I said as we walked over to the bench and sat on it together. I stared at the red mark on his cheek and apologized, “I'm really sorry, I thought you were Cole.”

“I understand, I saw what happened between the two of you,” Lucas explained.

“I'm still really, really sorry for what happened,” I said, apologizing again.

“I told you, it's okay. So what is happening between you and Cole?” Lucas asked, being nosy.

“Oh, nothing at all, just that I think he is stuck up and annoying and he keeps flirting with me, so I just got fed up with it,” I said explaining.

“Oh, really? He told me that you two are dating,” Lucas said. I stared at him like a deer in headlights. He waved his hand in front of my face.

“Are you serious? He said that? Arg! Oh my gosh, now I'm going to punch him,” I said as I started to stand up and Lucas pulled me back down, being clumsy me, and fell on his lap, “Oh my gosh, I'm so clumsy, I'm so sorry,” I tried to stand up once more, but he pulled me back on to his lap. “Lucas?” I stared in to his hazel eyes. He leaned closer to me and kissed me gently on the lips. He pulled away and looked at me with a grin on his face, I guess my expression on my face was funny looking.

“I love you, Aimee,” Lucas said passionately.

“Um, Lucas,” I said staring at him blankly.

    “Yes?”

“What haven't you told me about this before or even noted it?”

“Well, um, I'm kinda shy, I barely saw you, and I got disappointed when Cole told me that you two were dating.”

“Oh, okay,” I just remembered that I was sitting on his lap and I stood up quickly, “I'm sorry. I forgot. Lucas, I have to go, I'm sorry, I'll see you around, alright?”

“Yeah, can't wait to see you again.”

“Okay, Lucas,” I said running off. I ran for awhile and slowed down to a fast walk. There was a short, chubby, young boy looking around and looked at me. I walked over closer to him.

“Is this your gatorade?” He asked, showing me a bottle.

“No, I'm sorry, it's not,” I told him.

    “But, it's purple,” he insisted.

“Sorry, it's not mine,” I said, again. I looked down at his shirt and it was a bright, neon, yellow t-shirt. I looked back up at the chubby boy's face and said, “bye,” and kept walking down the sidewalk, but now at a slower pace. I thought to myself, that kid's t-shirt reminds me of a highlighter. I looked back saw the kid asking other people about the gatorade, I smiled, not watching where I was going, I ran into someone. I turned around and saw Cole, I sighed and rolled my eyes.

“So, where is Aimee going now?” Cole asked.

“Nowhere, leave me alone Cole, I know what you told Lucas.”

“What was that? Was it, that you are the most beautiful girl in the world?” Cole said, putting his hands on my hips.

“No, you told him that we were dating. Why would you lie and tell him that?” I asked, moving his hands off my hips.

“I would never tell a lie Aimee, because I thought that was true, that we really are going out. Aimee, I love you, I would pick you over all of these girls.” He leaned in to kiss me. I heard some girls in the background, gasping, I guess they noticed Cole putting on a show.

“Cole, stop, I don't love you, so why don't you stop trying,” I said pulling away fro him. I started to walk away from him, but he grabbed my wrist and put a death grip on my wrist and pulled me back. He leaned over so his mouth was next to my ear.

“I won't stop until I have you my princess,” Cole whispered into my ear.
