• I ran, ran up the stairs through the long winding corridors back down stairs and finally reached the queen's room. She was asleep, well you would be to if it was 2 AM right? I knocked and entered. I awoke her and told her. She rushed to dress. She told me to pack a bag, take 'her' and go. I went to the next room and grabbed the sleeping baby. I put her in a sling and ran, ran out of town and didn't look back.
All I cared about was the 6 month old princess, my 6 year old brother at my heels, and my 16 year old self. We ran, we ran into the dawn. We finally stopped at the local inn a few miles away. We slept, ate, and walked around for a week. Finally the queen arrived. She asked me how the baby was. Giving her to her, I told her she was fine. I also said I had grown attached to her.
The queen game me back the baby and told me, "She's all yours." I looked at her and asked "what about the heir to the throne?" "I can always have more children," came the response. I wasn't sure what happened but what I do know is: I have a baby princess and I don't want her.

Any one need an heir to the throne?
