• Robyn was scared, more scared than she had ever been in her life. Isaac had nearly taken her, and she was shaking uncontrollably. She felt Tony holding her, keeping her on her feet. He looked scared, and angry, and hurt. His eyes flashed red, and he looked up silently cursing Isaac for his pain and her discomfort. She stared at him for a second, then asked, "Tony, can you let me go?" He came to his senses, and let go of her, but stayed nearby, should she faint, or so he said. Sam walked up and tapped him on his shoulder. Tony followed her to the tent, and they diappeared inside. Kevin, still stunned by what had happened, gave her a quick hug, saying, "Thank God you are safe." She let him give her the hug, but pushed away after a moment, and went to check on Rajid. The werewolf was unconcious, and his jaw was set in an awkward position. She checked his pulse, still alive, and checked his breathing, normal. Rajid's eyes flew open the second she touched his jaw, and he yelped, making Robyn jump. He stared at her with angry eyes for a moment, then calmed down, holding still so she could check his dislodged jaw. "It's broken." she said simply, and eased her her hand along the length of his jaw. He shuddered when she touched his sensitive cheekbone, and almost bit, almost, but not quite. Rajid continued to hold still while she very carefully put his jaw back in place, and healed him with magic. When she was done she stood, helping him up. Rajid worked his jaw for a moment, trying to find his voice, then mouthed a silent "thank you." to Robyn. She smiled and led the way back to camp. A loud yell pierced the silence, and Tony ran out of the tent, holding his shirt. "Sam, you're trying to kill me with that stuff!" he exclaimed, pointing at a healing medicine that Robyn had given her. "Sorry, Tony." she said, holding the flap for the tent with her free hand. Tony hissed and wiggled into his shirt, leaving camp. Sam sighed, "He never lets me heal his wounds." she walked back into the tent, letting the flap fall behind her. Rajid and Kevin followed her into the tent, leaving Robyn outside. She sat down and kept watch for anything. Ten minutes later Tony came back, and, seeing Robyn, told her, "You can go into the tent, I'll take watch now." She shook her head, and took a salve out of her robes, motioning for him to come. Tony eyed the salve with suspicion, but stepped towards her. He knelt and lifted the back of his shirt, revealing the stab that Isaac had put in him earlier. She took a small bit of salve out of the vial, and carefully rubbed it on the skin around the wound. The wound began to close, and she pushed a little too hard on one part. "Ouch!" exclaimed Tony, standing and pulling his shirt down again. "That stuff hurts!" Sam poked her head out of the tent, and asked, "what's wrong?" Tony pointed at Robyn, "She is trying to kill me with that salve!" Robyn looked apologetic, "Sorry," she said "you need to heal somehow, and you never sleep anyway." Sam stared at him. Tony finally sighed and sat down again, allowing her to finish with the salve. Sam smiled and muttered under her breath, "She has much more control over him than I do." Tony, hearing this, said, "She does not! I am doing this so I'll heal faster!" Sam laughed to herself and went back into the tent, whispering just loud enough for Tony to hear, "I'll leave you two alone, have fun." Tony began to hiss, but decided not to and sat still while Robyn finished healing his wound. Several times during that process Tony would yell in pain, and flinch. When Robyn finished, Tony stood without a word, and let his shirt down. He turned to Robyn, his eyes a deep brown, and said, "Robyn, could I have a word with you?" he pointed to the woods, "over there?" Robyn blushed slightly, and nodded, following the vampire into the trees. After a minute, he stopped so suddenly that Robyn nearly walked into him. He turned right, and continued walking. They walked in silence, niether willing to break the silence. The forest grew darker as they progressed, until Robyn had to hold onto Tony's shirt to avoid getting lost. They continued for a while longer, Tony leading the young witch deep into the forest. All at once, he stopped, and Robyn actually did walk into him. He turned quickly to steady her. Tony led her just a little further to a spot where the moon shone bright and clear, bathing the area in a bright, bluish light. Tony walked into the middle of the clearing, leaving Robyn at the edge, rubbing her eyes in the bright light. When her eyes finally adjusted to the light, she looked at him, Tony looked like a statue that moved, his skin seemed to shine in the moonlight. She blinked once, staring at him for an instant. He turned to face her, apperently trying to gather his thoughts. His face was calm, much calmer than she had ever seen before, almost kind. Seeing that she was staring at him, he began to talk, choosing his words with care. "Robyn, there are some things that I must tell you." he began, pausing to sort his thoughts again. " One of which I will say before anything else." She nodded, looking at him with a puzzled expression. He sighed and walked up to her, kneeling in front of her and taking one of her hands. "Robyn, I promise, on my family's honor, that I will protect you, even sacrifice my life for you. You are the only human I have ever made a promise to, and I don't intend to break the ones I make." very quickly he kissed her hand. She pulled her hand back, blushing lightly. He stood and looked her right in the eyes, holding her transfixed by his ... what was it? excitement? love? or both? He thought for a moment, and, taking her hands in his cold ones, still looking her in the eyes. "Robyn, I-" he cut short and looked away, thinking again. He let go of her hands for a moment. She looked at him, what had he been going to say? "I love you?" maybe? When he turned back he took her hands again, this time with more resolve. "Robyn, I think I l-" he cut short a second time, and put his hands on his head, dealing with some kind of internal conflict. She was sure about what he was going to say this time, and turned red, she took a couple of deep breaths to calm herself down. He turned to her for the third time, not bothering to take her hands this time. His eyes were amber brown now, and she looked into them, finding she could see what his emotions were just by looking in his eyes. He was nervous, but why? Finally he took a deep breath, and began for the third time, "Robyn, I remember the day we first met, me and Sam were in a tavern in one of the towns. You came in, and I saw that you were one of the most beautiful girls I've ever met. Not knowing my emotions, and wondering what the feeling in my stomach was, I tried to get rid of it. I was unsuccessful, and I tried to distance myself from you so I wouldn't feel it again. When Isaac nearly captured you tonight, I finally discovered what the feeling was. I think I love you, Robyn." Robyn turned apple red, she looked away from him for a moment to regain her composure, when it came back she turned toward him, her eyes filled with wonder. "H- how could you have fallen in l- love with me?" she asked, turning red again. He shrugged, " I don't know" he said simply, " I just am, and I think that it's because you just are beautiful, you are perfect in every way to me." Her eyes filled with tears, " I- I am?" she asked, not wanting to beleive her ears. He nodded, smiling a small smile. She looked at him for a full minute, trying to understand, to take in what he was saying. He stepped forward and hugged her, a short, small hug. That was all the proof she needed, and she said, "I think I love you too, Tony, I don't understand why either. I just do." she looked up, half expecting him to have gone back to his usual self, he hadn't, his eyes were still amber brown, mimicing the color of her hair. He smiled wider, showing small, sharp fangs. She jumped at the sight of them, and took a step back. He just smiled again and pulled her closer, she struggled for a second, thinking he was going to bite her. He frowned, "What's wrong Robyn?" he asked, staring at her with a worried expression. She noticed that he hadn't gone for her neck and relaxed, almost making him hold her up. "N- nothing." she said, looking away, "Your fangs spooked me, that's all." He smiled again, just enough to show his fangs again, and turned her head to him. "Robyn, I promised to protect you, even if it means from myself." She steadied a bit, and sat still for a second. He leaned in and kissed her once on the cheek. She gasped and put her hand on the spot. He smiled again and lifted her up, drawing her to eye level. She didn't struggle, she was too surprised by the kiss. When she looked at him again he brought her towards him and kissed her once very lightly on the lips. Robyn very nearly fainted, she fought for breath, still holding where he had kissed her first. He put his hands on her shoulders and led her out of the clearing and into the woods, very carefully avoiding the branches. There in the darkness, he whispered in her ear, "I love you." This made her faint, she fell back into his arm. He lifted her up as easily as a human would pick up a pebble and carried her into camp with a smirk on his face.
