• I didn’t expect something like this to happen. I thought to myself as the Garage door closed in front of the running man. “I’m sorry, I cannot afford to let anyone in.” The man outside pounded on the door desperately trying to get in. “Your too uncivilized,” I grinned. “I cannot tell if your alive or not.” I push the other button and the reinforced steel door slides up over it.

How come I’m the only one prepared around here? I thought walking into the house. I put my handgun on the shelf and walked up the stairs to the attic. “Hey guys how is the ammo holding up?” I ask a few of the men on the Turrets. They turn to attention and salute. “Sir, we have enough ammo to fight like this for a few more days.” I nodded and looked to Marcus my weapons manufacturer. “Marcus. Get down to the furnace and get your team to produce more ammunition for the turrets.

Marcus Nodded and replied. “Yes Sir,” Before heading down the stairs. I looked out the window and seen a few of the bloody corpses chasing down a few Civilians. “Such a cruel world we live in huh?” I said frowning as I sat by the window. A few people glanced at me the others continued to snipe out the Zombies. “Well lets continue to pick them off.” They all nodded in unison and began to shoot more frequently.

I headed down the stairs and looked out the front window at the undead humans pounding on the window wanting to feed on us. “Reinforced buddy.” I took the handgun off the counter and shot the picture window. The bullet ricocheted of the window not even leaving a scratch.

How nice that would have been, but no, that was not the case. That was not the case at all. In reality I found myself in a boarded up house, with furniture pressed against the windows and doors to keep the zombies out, all alone except for my computer which I could use to contact my other friends and living relatives. I picked up my cell phone, it had signal which was contrary to popular belief that if zombies ever did happen, which they did, that technology wouldn’t work.

It seemed the power plant has locked itself up and continued to send out electricity to help the survivors either that or they died and left the power on. I dialed my cell phone and called my friend Andrew. After a few rings I heard a voice answer. “Hello?” I realized it was him and sighed with relief. “Hey how are things going up there?” I asked him. “Bad.”

“Bad? What’s Going on?” He paused for awhile. “Nothing my Parents haven’t died yet and they are annoying the hell out of me.” I laughed a bit at his humor. “Any zombies try to get in?”
“Not really, only one and I chopped its head of with my cosplay sword.” My friend Andrew collected cosplay swords from a bunch of different Anime.

“Do you really expect a town of like two-hundred to really have that many zombies?” I thought about this and finally replied. “Heh, I guess not.”
I looked out the front window through the crack in the boards i made. There was no more glass on the other side. Zombies had busted it out along time ago. That wasn't the worst part.

My parents had gone shopping at Wal-Mart the day the zombies first began spreading. Sadly they were trapped in the Wal-Mart crowd.. That was my guess anyway, they never came back. I doubted they ever would. "Hey why so quiet? Did you get eaten." Andrew asked jokingly. The weird thing about him was that he never took this whole zombie thing seriously.
"Well I got to go." I said to him hanging up the phone after hearing a few crashes outside. "What the hell is out there?" I walked over to my window and looked outside...
