• Looking out into the dark night, she could hear the ocean splashed aginst the cliff wall. The dark blue colors of the sky faded in with the black. The smell of the salt from the sea feathered across her nose. The light from the bay lighthouse shown the waves turning white at the tips as is splashed aginst the cliff wall once more. Sighing heavily Casey pulled her long, sleek, black hair over her right shoulder and turned away from the view. Ever since the accident she couldn't stand to look at something so beautiful. It seemed to taunt her, like a child teasing the dog with a hot dog. As much as the dog wanted it, he just couldn't seem to get it, then the child would pull it completely away and eat it right in front of the dog. Casey walked back into her darkned home with a slight feeling of regret. She knew it had been a mistake when she moved here. The only reasons she had moved there was because of him, but now that he was pretty much gone she had no reason to be here. She only staied because a part of her hoped he'd come back and everything would be the same like it had been before he'd left.
Flinging herself onto the midnight purple bed she let the tears fall slowly down her face. Remembering how bright her skin was against the midnight purple silk, she cried harder. As her sobs quieted she heard something outside above the crashing of the waves.
Rushing to her balcony she looked over the edge and only seen it was a boat. A wave of disapointment washed over her. Why was she waiting for something that she knew would never come back. Sighing heavily she walked back in to her home and out the bedroom. Gliding down the long corador to the stairs she looked at the pictures on the wall. Feeling tears burn her throat she hurried down the stairs and into the kitchen.
After making a cup of coffee she walked to garden door and looked outside. All the flowers were in full bloom and the trees full of leaves. Sipping her coffee, memories flashed through her head of what had been.
It had been a cloudy day. She was in the garden watering and weeding. It had been the only time she got alone. She hadn't heard him come in. As she was bent over watering, he came up behind her and pulled her hips to his body. She stood screaming and sparying him with the water hose. He laughed as he pushed away the hose with one hand and held her to him with the other. She laughed as she replayed her actions in her head. As the laughing stopped she bent back over and turned the hose off. Standing back up she looked at him. He always seemed so beautiful to her. His jet black hair shimmering in the light, his blue eyes always so happy and always looking at her like she was the most gorgouse person in the world.
