• Story One: Part Three
    The last one...

The room now felt as if it were swaying back and forth. Just a hour before the room was still. Thirty minuets later it had started shaking as if it were on a road. And now it was swaying.
Where are they taking us? I thought staring into the dark of the room. How far can we go before we are found? Then my thoughts drifted to other things as I listened to the steady beat of water dripping on the floor. I thought of school, friends, family, and other things you would imagine a lost twelve year old would think of.
All my worries faded away as I drifted in thought, then the long silence was broken.
There was a loud crash followed by the sound of breaking glass. I jumped to another crash then the door bursting open letting the bright light of the day in. As soon as the door was all the way opened the big man with the sword came running in.
"Come!" The big man yelled. With little hesitation I stood. Across the room, Sanji waking from his sleep, stood as well with a tepid look on his face. Two masked men then walked into the room and grabbed Sanji and I by the arms and took us out.

The ship was in ruins. Men were lying on the deck either injured or lying motionless on the deck. Half the ship was in flame, burning the bodies on the deck.
The air stank of burning flesh and smoke. On either side of the ship there was a thick forest. So thick that you couldn't see a foot into it. And out of the forest came quick flashes of light then an explosion. It seemed that there were hostiles on both sides. Hostiles or saviors.
The two men took us to the very front of the ship and started to put us into a life boat. There was another explosion in the water which tipped the boat a little, making us take a step back.
"Get in!" One of the masked soldiers yelled. I jumped in first then Sanji hesitantly got in.
Water splashed our faces and screams pierced our ears. It seemed as if our rescue had finally come. It seemed...
A moment later the forest was in flames. Flamethrowers were mounted on either side of the ship and set the forest ablaze. A few men jumped out of the forest and landed in the water but before they reached the surface machine guns fired and the men were dead. It was a massacre.
The firing of guns became less intense and finally stopped.
"Get them out. More will come later." The big man said. Then on his order two more masked men got in the boat and we set off.
We reached land and the four soldiers got out in front of us and we made camp. Two soldiers tied Sanji and me to a tree and the others started pitching tents. Soon my mind drifted again and I fell into sleep...

It was dark and Miku was heading to bed. The twelve year old girl walked slowly from the kitchen down the short hall and then into her small room. She walked in and then jumped on her bed and laid down.
When Miku was half asleep she heard the shattering of glass in the direction of her living room.
Miku stood puzzled then slowly walked down the hall.
"Mom..." Miku said softly. "Mom that you?"
Miku opened the living room door but no one was there. Miku walked in and found what had broken. The mirror on the wall was cracked. Miku looked into the mirror at herself, her long red hair and eyes, and her tan skin. She was proud of how she looked.
"Shouldn't be proud full girl." A deep voice said. Miku turned around and found a tall man with a hood covering his eyes standing in front of her.
"Don't even think about screaming. No one will hear you."
Before Miku even got to breathe a hand hit her making her fall over...

"The girl too. They move pretty fast. Go ahead send it."
    "I know, I know."
