• ::Chapter 1::
    ~Intention~
After a while, our love life was starting to fade. We didn't have any classes together. And we were going through a LOT of pain. If we were to quit school altogether, we would be with each other every hour of the day. Our parents wouldn't exactly like
    that...but hey, we're in love.
"Brooke! Stop daydreaming and copy the notes!" Grouch...I hate my teachers. All they do is give us homework, then tell us to do it. They never explain anything.
After Algebra, I went to lunch. With him. Of course. The most beautiful guy I've ever seen. Or been with. I had pizza and he had a sandwich. We shared. Usually, the food tastes horrible. But this time the school did the students a favor and ordered pizza instead. And Tyler made the sandwich. Wow. I never thought guys could make anything but a mess. I was impressed.
"What are you thinking?" Tyler asked. I wish he wasn't so nosy when it came to my thoughts.
"I'm just surprised. I never thought guys could make good food," I smiled at him. He returned it with a huge grin. He was weird sometimes. But hey, I can't pin that on him. It's not his fault he's weird. I laughed at that.
"What?" He asked. I laughed again.
"It's nothing. I just thought of something funny." He put an arm around me. I loved him. More than my own life. That was true. I hated my life before he stepped in. I picked up my book and started reading.
"Twilight again? You've read it like ten times already. What's so good about it?" he asked. I laughed again.
"It's a good series. I love it," I answered. Sometimes I couldn't understand guys. Girls like love stories. Period. Get over it.
"I just don't get what's so awesome about the guy characters," he whined. I pondered that for a bit, and I ended up putingt the book away. "Oh well. I love you," he said. He smiled and kissed my forehead.
"We should start heading home," I laughed. I looked around the room. We were some of the last few people in the cafeteria.
"We should. But first, to student services," he said.
"Why student services? Are you okay?" I panicked.
"Yeah, I'm okay. I just wanted to switch classes so I can be with you," he explained. "It would be better than being in all of Chelsea's classes. Then, I wouldn’t be so tempted to talk to her.” I scowled at him.
We were on our way down to student services, and we were silent. I stopped at my locker. Crap.
“Tyler, I left my backpack in the cafeteria,” I said.
“Okay. Do you want me to go get it?” he asked.
“No, I’ll get—“Before I could finish, he was on his way back to the cafeteria. I stayed at my locker. Waiting.
He came back about five minutes later. Then, we headed off to student services again. Once we were there, Tyler went to talk to Mrs. DeLaGarza
“Hello Mrs. DeLaGarza. How are you today?” he asked.
“Hello Tyler! I’m fine. How about you?” she said. I loved Mrs. DeLaGarza. She’s one of the best people ever.
“I’m okay. Can you do me a small favor?” he asked. I handed him my schedule. “Can you change my schedule so it matches Brooke’s? Please?”
“Oh! Hello Brooke. Of course I can, Tyler. You two are my favorites out of the whole school,” she said, smiling at us. She took my schedule, did some typing, then, printed off Tyler’s new schedule.
“Thank you, Mrs. DeLaGarza,” Tyler said. We left. And then we were on our way home.
Once we were at Tyler’s house, we started our homework. Ugh. Our grouchy teachers give us too much. I. Hate. It. What’s the point of homework? You tell me…when you find out.
“I don’t understand why God couldn’t just make us automatically smart. Some animals have that. Right after they’re born, they’re smart from the start.” Tyler was mumbling to himself…I think. I could never tell whether he’s talking to me or not. It’s confusing.
“Are you done yet?” I asked.
“No. Not yet. Just a few more problems,” he replied.
I waited. It took him two minutes to finish six problems. Psh. They were probably easy. I thought about what I had to do the next day. Ugh. Tutor. Tutor someone who’s smarter than me. Frankie Savalas. And he’s a year older than me.
“I was asked by Frankie Savalas if I could tutor him. He asked me today. While you were getting my backpack. Good thing you weren’t there. I babbled like a moron. He is gorgeous,” I said. The next thing I knew, I was pinned to the floor. And Tyler was kissing me.
“You. Are. Mine,” He declared during breaths.
“I know. I’m just tutoring him.” I said. Then I smiled and it seemed like we were kissing for hours.
