• Tyler grabbed a blanket and pillow, took it outside, and tossed in the grass. He didn’t care what bugs were hiding in the grass just waiting to crawl on to his skin and suck the blood from his veins like a vacuum. All he knew was that it was a lot safer out here than back in his house. He felt a presence. A presence thriving and camouflaging itself from the naked eye in the darkness. In the house, there was nothing but darkness, for the electricity was down. So he was camping out. And even if he were to be profusely covered with bugs by sunrise, at least he could see his hands. Tyler swiftly turned around to find the local news on. “As you can see, you’re power is back up because the TV service is back.” So it was a victory. The presence can’t live while there’s light. He went to every room flipping every switch. GAAAA! The presence’s squeal. He’d left the house.
Tyler lay on his bed cold and in need of a blanket. He went back to camp and start dragging his blanket and pillow. Then there was a spark right behind him. Silhouetted in the spark was the presence. Great, he’s back he thought. He pulled out the flashlight again, when he realized he couldn’t see anything but the spark. It had become just as dark. Tyler had lost all hope and the presence started to approach him when the sun emerged from the horizon that had once been pure darkness. The presence was stricken by the light and sucked back into his hole in Hell. Tyler was sure he was gone now. Until the next blackout…
