• Lex stared blankly at a large stained glass window in his foyer, it was a perfect blend of oranges and yellows with a white cross in the middle reminding one of those which you could find at a church. To many of the guests Lex had invited to his manor over the years this window was like any other, just another decoration for what would otherwise be a bland room. Still Lex knew better than anyone that this particular window was anything from ordinary, as a matter of fact it served as a portal between the manor and a point outside the grounds.
This was the invention of Lex’s father, former leader of the Harvesters a race of warriors created by the ancient gods to protect mankind from the vampire, and thus they had for centuries. Until the renaissance when new ideas began to spring forth Lex’s father attempted to make a treaty with the vampires a treaty that was eventually agreed on by the acting lead vampire Milan who in a matter of months would fall in love with Lex’s father Titus and become Lex’s mother. It was a odd change of events to say the least, but the world hidden within the human world accepted it and so everything was perfect for almost two decades, when Lex’s mother and father had been murdered.
Now it was a curious event when Lex and his twin sister had been born, both where born human and came into their powers at the age of twelve like any normal harvester, except while Lex became a harvester, Sofia became a Vampire. Even more peculiar was the fact that Lex and his sister where both pure, the fact they had mixed parents did not affect either of them in anyway, physically. Sofia who’d always been close to their father began to act out angry that Lex had become a Harvester and she only a vampire, she quickly became genocidal developing sever anti-vampire tendencies. Or that was how it seemed Lex however knew the true story, a story that quickly showed itself when His and Sofia’s mother and father turned up dead and Sofia disappeared.
Lex knew that Sofia had killed their mother and father, he had his thoughts about why but he wasn’t sure exactly why. What he did know was that shortly after his parents death the vampires declared war once again on the Harvester and used the brief confusion created by such a declaration to massacre thousands of harvester. Only when Lex took control of the harvester command did his race gain any hope against their opponents. Lex of course didn’t care about the Harvester-vampire war, his only concern was vengeance against his sister whom he knew had joined the vampire forces after her disappearance.
And so here Lex stood at the secret portal into his home, the portal that at the stroke of midnight his sister would use to gain entry into his manor. Only little did she know Lex was ready for her, and this time she was going to pay for her crimes, in the most painful way imaginable.
