• The air thrummed with the strength of the music. My whole world was a blur of lights, noise and movement. Someone switched the volume off and hoots and cat-calls filled the room. I laughed breathlessly as I found my way over to my group of friends. The eight of us grinned at each other.
It was the year 2013, just a minute away from 2014. I was twenty one years old and had a group of friends anyone would kill for. We had all met on the first day of Secondary school, over eight years ago, and we’d been inseparable ever since! There was nothing we couldn’t share with each other, nothing we didn’t know.
And now we were celebrating the end of another year together, and the start of what as bound to be another great one!
The lights dimmed. People started shouting
    10!…
    9!…
My mind strayed away from the exited faces of my friends, from all the good things in my life to the things I still wanted…
    8!…
    7!…
Every year we all made the same wish: To basically have a great year of happiness/fun/laughter etc etc…
    6!…
    5!…
And for a long time, that had been enough, that was all I had wanted or needed, but now…
    4!…
    3!…
There were so many things I wish I had never done, and one thing I wish I had…
    2!…
    1!…
So that’s what I wished for. The chance to take back all my regrets of the past. And for the chance to see that boy, one last time…

    HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
