• The ó Súilleabháin’s had been living in their home comfortably for some time now; about two years. Rhoswen, or Rho, as she liked to be called, was doing well in the new environment, and her parents were thankful that her shapeshifting abilities would cause her no troubles here in Grassiville. She’d managed to make a few friends, though there were some places in the town her parents intentionally kept her away from; the mansion on the hill where Solinus the demon lived, and the house where Cal the Death Reaper and his mother Helena lived, but other than that, Rho could pretty much wander the town as she wished. So… she did. In the few years they’d been in Grassiville, her control of her powers had drastically improved, mostly because she would go into the edge of the forest around the town to practice. One thing she was nervous about was someone catching her practicing; for some reason, it was cemented in Rho’s mind that that would be the single most embarrassing thing for someone to catch her doing, so she was very cautious to make sure no one was around when she was practicing. Of course, not everything could always go as planned, and one day, right as she was practicing, she heard a branch crack nearby. Instantly, her body snapped back to human form and she ducked behind a tree, holding her breath, face bright red with beads of sweat dripping down.

“Hello?” asked a voice; male, for sure, and it didn’t sound very old. “Someone’s there, I know it; I can smell you. And hear you. Who’s there?” Rho frowned, swiping the perspiration from her face and peeking around the tree. “And who’s askin’?” she retorted, eyes catching the source of the voice; it was a boy, who seemed to be about her age. Something about him was vaguely familiar… honey-brown hair, dark brown eyes – “It’s ye!” Rho stepped fully out from behind the tree, pointing an accusatory finger at the boy. “Me…?” he asked cautiously. “Yes, ye! Ye’re the boy who wouldn’t say a word te me the first day I was here in Grassiville! Ye got me grounded fer a week,” She crossed her arms over her chest, glaring at him. He looked taken aback by her statements and watched her nervously. “I… um… I’m sorry…?” Rho shifted her weight to her back foot, still glaring at the boy.
