• Zach grabbed both of my arms and looked deeply into my eyes. Then all of a sudden it was like being shot into the air by a rollercoaster but only 100 times faster. My heart was beating out of my chest. This was all happening so fast. My brain didn’t have enough time to process all of this. This was impossible, I was dreaming. None of this is real. I looked at his face with wide eyes, barely able to speak. This is what he was, what he is.

“Vampire.” I said finally, still lingering high above our small town. He gave me this look that only meant yes and we started to fall. Everything went black, that’s when I knew I was unconscious.

I awoke groggily in my room on my bed unsure if it was all just an elaborate dream, when I noticed I wasn’t alone. I turned my head slightly to see Zack sitting on the other side of my bed flipping though the channels on the television. I shot up and fell off the bed and onto the floor. He continued to flip though the channels as I slowly rose my head up far enough to see him sitting there. He turned his head to look at me with remote still in hand and I shot my head down hitting the ground.
“Damn it!” I whispered as I rubbed my head still trying to stay low. While I heard snickering from above me. I turned my head once again to see his face smiling at me.
I backed away from him as fast as I could to the farthest corner in the room. “H-how did y-you g-get in h-h-here?” I asked stuttering like crazy.

“The door, I had to carry you in somehow, didn’t I?” He said in a light tone; which was weird, because he was usually so angry and annoyed.

“So it was just a dream? All of it was just a dream? I’m not crazy?” I asked with a hint of hope in my voice.

“Well…no, it wasn’t a dream. I really am a vampire, all of that really did happen. And as far as the crazy part, you were always a little crazy so don’t worry.” He said with a little laugh.

I sat there hunched up in the corner scared to death. This was not happening to me. Not knowing what to say to him I sputtered “Get out! Go, Leave! I’ll start screaming!”

He gave me a strange look and walked out of my room shutting the door behind him. That’s when I realized that it was probably going to be one of the biggest mistakes I’ll ever make. So I ran to the door and flung it open, running down the steps and to the front door. I flung that door open too just to find no one there. I was too late, he was gone.
