• Run, run! That was all that was going through Kelly’s mind at this point. Kelly was running away, again.
She was running away from the shadows. It wasn’t like, Kelly was afraid of the dark. She could see perfectly in it. There was something in it, casing her.
You see, there are magic beings that live in this world. Like werewolves, vampires and such.
Those were much more in darker days when they roamed. But the people from back then in 1220, killed off most of them for there own protection. Even though they never hurt anyone; except maybe the vampire’s.
Most people have the bloodlines in them from back then, but only one of them has all of them. Kelly Moore was that one.
So Kelly has all the creature’s blood. So she has the blood that every magical being wants. So every time she goes out she might die, or get her blood sucked up, which is pretty much the same. So Kelly has to watch every step she takes. Yeah, her life sucks, but so do vampires.

Kelly was running from, God knows what. The shadows where closing in on her. She could feel her pursuer right on her heels. Her lungs stung with every jagged breath she took. She could smell that it was either a vampire, or a shadow. She could bring out her wings, but that would be too risky. Some human might see.
Then, Kelly felt something lightly touch her shoulder. She tried to run faster, if that were possible at the time, but she was able to.
Kelly was relying on her lupine or vampire blood to make her run faster. By calling on them.
As she ran she saw a church up ahead. Even though she knew the holy ground would hurt her, she had to go to get away from the something. Almost all mythical beings are harmed by holy ground. But some what of Kelly is human, and her father is some too, so she’ll live. Maybe.
Taking one last speed boost, she leapt over the old white fence. Taking a heard landing to the ground, Kelly felt the burning pain seep though her outer body. Getting back up, she stumbled over to the door and sat down on the concrete sidewalk, gasping for air. The holy ground was hurting her. It felt like her skin was on fire. Looking up, Kelly saw a shadow being pacing along the fence side.
He seemed to be a foot taller than she was. His hair was black and cropped short. He had on a button up plaid shirt that was white and blue. His blue jeans were pale and ripped at the bottom.
With a gulp of air, Kelly managed to say something. “Who are you, and what the hell do you want!” the shadow being stopped pacing; he looked at Kelly.
“Aren’t you the all blooder?” he asked angrily. Scooting herself closer to the building to stay off the holy dirt she said, “By all blooder, you mean me?” She suddenly coughed, hacking up a blood. Not good, she thought, I’ll die in a minute if I don’t get going.
Lighting flashed across the black sky and thunder soon fallowed. Kelly looked up to see a huge storm cloud covering the starry sky. Great, just what I need! Kelly thought angrily to herself.
“I didn’t know the all blooder was a girl. Not to mention hot,” he said. Kelly looked at him with a discussed face, but flattered none the less. Hot? Did he just call me hot! “Did you just call me hot?!” she said repeating her thoughts. Did he even know what kind of situation she was in? He was actually trying to make her mad!
“Why yes I did. Just look at the nice hourglass figure.” he said to her smiling. He was taunting her! Kelly stood up blushing with embarrassment; looking at herself, she noticed that her pants where somehow ripped in the knee and several other places. Kelly’s new purple shirt had a mud stain on the front, and her pony tail was coming lose, Kelly saw she had a leaf in it too. To her, she was at her worst. She could use a good hour long shower and a three day sleep,
“You know this, all blooder has a name?” Kelly said really annoyed. He stopped eyeing her, and looked at her face, for once. “Well, what is it?” he asked.
“Kelly Moore,” she said getting more annoyed. Why bother talking to him? “Why am I even talking to you?”
“Why else? I’m going to kill you anyway, so let’s just make it fun,” he said. I sighed that ended in a cough and looked at him with a sharp look. “I told you my name, so tell me yours,” she said, trying to change the subject. She knew –or hoped- that she wasn’t going to die today, but she was still wary of him.
Yawning he said, “Name’s Jarred.” Did he just yawn? Was this guy for real? Was he actually not interested that she was going to die? Just thinking about this Jarred person made her mad, or was that tingly? No, mad.
“Why don’t you come out from there?” Was he actually trying that? “But if I do, you might kill me,” she said slowly walking over the fence holding a throbbing arm. Each step she took was almost as worst as the last. He smiled. “Well, it’s nice to see you up close,” He shifted his weight to his left foot, grinning. I knew I would come to love that grin. I wasn’t even sure why I thought that. It must have been the ground she was on; it was messing with her head. “Easy little boy,” she said, “Don’t get to excited, you might pee on the floor.”
“Funny, but you can’t kill a guy for trying, can you?” Um? In his case, I can! She thought angrily. “Look, are you really going to kill me?” She couldn’t stand one more minute of this, the holy ground was starting to work its way into her insides. It felt terrible, like being cooked. He stood there a moment, thinking. “Why not, who’s going to stop me?” he crossed his arms.
He really was good looking, if you saw past his enormous ego. His hair was really black, not just a dark brown, black like his eyes. “Stop you from what, ripping me apart and drinking me up?” that’s what she really feared, that some monster would be stronger then she and tear her limb from limb. She would have nightmares about, ever since her father told her about how “special” she just was.
“Hardly, that would waist all your precious blood. I like to cut the throat and drink deeply, like enjoying fine wine.” He smiled at the thought. It was another terrible thought. It was like being attacked by a vampire, only he wasn’t.
And that gave her the idea on how to get out. “It seems to me like your just a wanna-be vampire little shadow.” His frame went rigged. And he frowned; that made him mad. Along with werewolves, vampires hated shadow beings. To them, a shadow being was just an incomplete vampire, and werewolves smelt bad.
“I am nothing like those leeches. I would never try to be one, and I would never want to be one,” then he smiled, one that she didn’t like, “all I want is to kill you.” She felt a chill run drown her spine. He was scaring her, and she was dying now. She felt even weaker by the second. She had to make a deal with him or she would die where she stood. Her plan to make him mad until he jumped at her and die by holy ground would no longer work.
She breathed in and stood tall, “fine then I’ll make a deal with you.” That interested him. “What kind of deal? One were I get you?” he was smirking. “No, one where you can have a little of my blood and I can go free,” she said that sounded more like it was a question. He looked her up and down. She closed her eye and thought, oh please let him say yes, please.
And by some metrical, he said yes. “Fine, but I will be back for more.” She exhaled a breath she didn’t know she was holding. He held out his hand and helped her over the fence. It ripped her pants some more. Her knees were too weak and she stumbled and tripped. Jarred caught her before she fell to the ground and helped her up.
Strangely, she felt tingly where he had touched her. A funny tingly, like a first kiss tingly. Kelly, get a hold of yourself! She thought to herself. This man wants to kill you!
“The deal?” he said and smiled a wicked smile. Oh right. She was too weak to fight let a lone run. She was stuck.
Kelly took a step back as he did forward. He came up to her, only an inch apart. He was taller then she by far and that only lessoned her chance at escape. She was scared; scared like a child lost in the woods. He pulled out a razor blade and grabbed her chin and tilted her head back. Her lips parted and she froze. Kelly was too afraid to do anything. Her nightmares have come true. She was going to die, and she was scared stiff. She would never see her best friend, Lacie. She would never know what happened to her. And her parents; they would just fall apart, knowing there only child was dead. All her life they have been there for Kelly, now she was going to die.
She flinched when the blade cut deeply into her throat. She could feel the blood pumping out the small, but deep cut. Jarred leaned down and put his warm mouth over it and took in the blood.
Kelly was even more scared now, because she was enjoying this. Her mind numbed over and she shivered with the pleasure. He smiled ageist her throat. He wrapped his arms around her as she fell into him. Kelly was fluid now. She was like a sleepy kitten subjected to anyone.
Jarred held Kelly tight, as she ran her fingers through his black hair. Her eyes closed as another wave of chills washed over her. She put her arm around his neck and pressed herself ageist him.
And he frowned. She could feel his smile go away and she opened her eyes just as he pushed her away. “W-what happened?” she put her hand to the cut to stop the bleeding, but already had.
“Nothing, the deal is over, you can go home now,” Jarred said turning around and walking away. She watched him a moment, then remembered, she couldn’t get home. She ran up to him, five steps behind. “Hey, I need a ride home!” Kelly shouted angry now. This Jarred guy could have killed, or even taken more of her, blood, but didn’t. And she wanted to know why he took less then a pint. Not that it bothered her, but she thought it was strange.
He kept on walking. “Aren’t you listening? I said I need a ride home!” He still didn’t look at her. Why is she even bothering with this guy? “Look, I let you take some of my blood, you owe me!” he stooped and turned toward her. She suddenly felt scared. “Owe? I owe you a ride home? I let you live, that should be enough!” Kelly was stunned. He let her live? She could have killed him in an instant! Or so people keep telling her.
“I-I could kill you right here, you know,” she said, now unsure of herself. Jarred smiled, “and I’m sure you could.” He stepped closer and opened his mouth to say something more, but then car lights suddenly came out of no where. Jarred grabbed Kelly’s wrist and they dived into the bushes. As they fell, Jarred landed on top of her.
“Well, this is a nice change of pace,” he said smiling down at her. Kelly frowned and pushed him off. She got on her knees and peaked out the bush to see if the car had passed. Nope. It was parked out side the old church.
An older looking man, maybe around forty, stood just outside the car. He looked familiar, but I couldn’t place him. His brown hair reminded me of someone, but whom? It threw me off because of the graying hair poking through. He wore a long dark coat that pretty much covered his whole body.
Before I could do a thing, Jarred pulled me away and we started to quietly sneak away from the bush.
“Where are we going? I was trying to find out who that guy was!” I whispered annoyed. “unless you can read minds, I don’t think you will find out who that retard was.” I was surprised at what he said. Did he know him?
