• "Taki, wake up." Piccolo nudged me, and I sleepily rolled over and got up. "Don't wanna be late like Snake." He motioned to Snake's empty bed. Snake had been late for guard duty on the Eastern Gate, and had been slapped so hard his jaw literally cracked. Yeah, Maximum was that tough. This thought made me hurry up with dressing, and I got finished just as soon as the morning bell rang. "Come on, dear." Piccolo took my hand and led me down to the blood- spattered meeting room. "Greetings, Taki and Piccolo." Maximum held out his hand, but we didn't take it. "Good morning General. Trying that trick again, sir?" I laughed sleepily. Maximum smiled. "Glad you didn't take it. You will begin guard duty at your usual post." We nodded and left. "Taki, you're really tired, aren't you love?" Piccolo said as we stopped at our gate, the Southern gate. "Yeah. But I can manage. Don't worry." My stomach felt queasy, and i leaned outside the gate and threw up. "Taki! Oh, good golly!" He ran to my side and radioed Maximum. "Sir, you'll have to find two other people to guard. Taki's sick." Maximum's reply crackled over the radio. "Fine. I'll send over Blood and Gore." Piccolo picked me up and ran towards Annette's nurse station. "Annette! We need some help!" Piccolo ran to a bed and layed me down. "She's throwing up." He explained as Annette checked me. She put a hand over my stomach. I'm pretty sure she felt the nudge just as I did. "Oh, Holy night." I groaned. Annette turned to Piccolo and whispered, "She's pregnant. Maximum won't be happy." 'He'll have to be." I said. "I'm not losing my baby." "Good Luck, dearie." Annette patted Piccolo on the shoulder. " "I'll go with him, just in case." "Fine."
