• As i stand there soaking up the rays of sunshine a sense of contentment washes over me. The suns warmth dissapears when a huge wave hits the shore and sends a cool salty mist toward me. As the cool white mist hits my skin, shivers begin to rush up and down my spine. The sun heated sand feels soft and mushy underneath and between my toes. I see miles and miles of blue water. Not able to hold back any longer i race toward it. Diving into it i quickly glance around. As i surface i swallow as much air as i can and then dive right back down. Schools of little silvery fish pass by, rainbow colored reefs, green seaweed that slightly sways back and forth with the movement of the water. Everything that we are deprived of on land in anxiously awaiting us from beyond the waters surface. My lungs soon begin to catch fire and i know that i don't have long before i will have to abandon this beautiful scenery for air. Sun refracts off the top if the water and casts a hazy glow over its inhabitance. All of my senses are tickled by my surroundings. Light headed from lack of oxygen I surface once again. This time i have I have to stay up on top to catch my breath. Just as i am about to dive back underneath the water i hear my name called from a distance. It's my mother who is calling me. "Time to go" she hollers. Dissapointed i head for the shore. As i ascend from the water i turn around and gaze meaningfully toward all the beauty that has yet to be discovered. I know that one day i will return to this land of wonders and discover all that is yet to be discovered from beyond the waters surface.
