    Severus /Lily Fan fiction

    By: Lady Pureblood.

Unrequited love, the word sounded so lovely and heartbroken, the thing that was the actual meaning of that accursed word was hurtful and despised. Severus Snape knew exactly how that felt. He was in love with his best friend, the red headed Lily Evans.

So close they were, when he was friendless and alone she was the red rose in his garden of weeds. His raven black hair hung in his face, it was un cared for and looked greasy, his hooked nose prominent in his profile. Sitting in the hall, his Black eyes scanning the potion book he valued with his school life with. His notes helped him excel in the class time, and gave him time to doodle, not that he wanted to.

A flash of red hair beside him, caused him to draw his attentions to a pale pretty face. A mane of magnificent red hair, Jade green eyes and pink rosy lips. “Hey sev.” It was lily. Severus looked up and gave her a smirk. “Hello lily” he closed his book and sat up straighter. Sliding down the cool stone wall she took a seat beside him, and leaned on his shoulder. “Ugh, that potter is so, so annoying” she grimaced as she saw Snape glowering at her “Well, I would think he is.” Lily giggled “Well of course he’s a prat, he thinks he’s a god or something.” “Hmpf” Snape snorted “ Yes, well he is Griffindor Royalty, is he not?” Lily looked down “ . . . Well, he plays good quidditch. So the boys look up to him” Snape rolled his eyes “enough of potter, lets talk about something worthwhile.” Standing up he waited for lily to spring up, and walk beside him.

The fragrance of her beauteous hair made him almost giddy with overwhelming feeling. Of course he thought to himself. It was all just hormones and such. They were silent, off in their own little world as they made their way down to the hogwarts grounds, toward the lake. When they finally came to a giganteus tree, they seated themselves, then lay back on the soft sun warmed grass. Lily closed her eyes and hummed softly, like an angel he thought. Hr closed his obsidian eyes, thinking of ways to get back at potter for all the injustice he did to him. Of course James Potter was jealous of Snape for obvious reasons. Well actually one reason-Lily Evans. The source of his ego-ravished desire. Snape scoffed at the thought of lily even touching him, the arrogant fool, he thought he could have anyone and everything.

Him and that pack of dogs. Pretty boy Sirius Black, James’s right-hand man, often came up with the ideas how to torment the poor slytherin boy, No matter how many jinxes or curses Snape threw back at them in retaliation, nothing could stop them, until lily came and protected him. It was a shame that she was sorted into Griffindor, he thought she was more slytherin material, but disappointment was disappointment.

A shadow was thrown over him, gazing up. He could see her face close up and perfect. A playful smile played along her lips , as she brought her hands to his side. Snape’s eyes widened considerably “uhh . . . ” lily began to tickle him without mercy. He kicked and tried to crawl away from her laughingly. Coughing from laughing, he righted himself and tackled her. They rolled down a small loping hill. He pinned her down, and narrowed his eyes, mocking her. “Revenge time” lily closed her eyes in ancipation of the tickling fingers, but none came. Instead snapes usually pale face had become blood red, and his grip had loosened. The realization of his position came flooding into his senses. His body was exceedingly close and on top of the girl he’d give his life for. Jumping backwards he sat up clumsily and rushed to the tree to gather his books. Flipping his hair into his face, to hide the heated red blood that was staining his cheeks. He mumbled that he was off to the library . . . Lily was on her feet and beside him gripping his arms, before he could say good night. “Severus Snape whatever is wrong?” her face was pink and her green, green eyes were clouded with confusion and hurt. Snape could not look at her. “Sevvy, sev . . . ” she hugged him, much to his horror and disbelief. He was paralyzed with embarrassment and happiness. “ What is wrong? ?” she looked up at him with pleading eyes.

His arms drew acrossed her and pulled her closer,” nothing....” he lightly kissed her forehead and walked quickly to the slytherin dorms.

Laying on his bed, he replayed that scene over and over again in his head. He’d made his feelings painstakingly clear. And he wasn’t happy, “what if this ruins everything...? what if she runs off to potter, will that be my fatal mistake?” he mumbled . He was could kick
    himself,’ tomorrow I will act like nothing happened . . . ’

He awakened to find the slytherin common room, quite empty beside lucius malfoy reading some love letters, beside the fire. “Severus.” He acknowledged his fellow slytherin without looking up from the note. Snape pushed out of the common room and walked down the long halls, to breakfast.

Sitting with his fellow slytherins, he causally glanced over to the Griffindor table, only to see lily staring at him, with a complex expression on her pretty little face. James and Sirius were sitting beside her messing around with their food, showing off. While lupin sat reading the newspaper on the opposite side of the table, facing them. Snape looked quickly away and focused on some eggs.

After classes, he took his free time and stalked the back, deserted halls. He paced as he thought of ways to explain his ‘strange’ behavior. A sudden pinch on his arm made him cry out in surprise, heart racing, he saw a furious looking lily in front of him. “ ....Are you going to tell me what happened last night?” she crossed her arms over her chest, an ice cold feeling in her gaze.
Snape looked away, and stayed silent. Lily tugged his face into her hands “look at me” he let his eyes wander to her face. He blushed violently “Let go of me . . . ” he replied weakly “No.” She smiled at him “I know you love me, Snape. It won’t change anything . . . ” slowly she inched her nose toward his, letting the flesh touch warmly, before parting her lips and pressing her mouth to his. She nuzzled his neck for a minute and, turned away, to walk down the hall, leaving a very confused Snape in her wake.
“Paradise..” snape sighed as he sank to the floor.
