• He stands no less then one foot away, and 3 feet taller then yourself. You take a breath, trying to calm yourself. Don't be afraid! Don't be afraid!! You keep telling yourself that, but tears of terror still flow out of your eyes. Why is he doing this... You ask yourself, but you can't find the answer. Maybe you are just too annoying, maybe you really are as pathetic and useless as he says.

Slowly he paces closer and further from you, yelling at you for all the things you have done wrong, for the things that just happened to upset him. Little do you know it's not your fault, but you are led to believe otherwise. Once he is close, he screams his well developed yell right in your ear, making you flinch slightly, crashing into the corner you were put in. He yells and yells, then paces and yells. He tells you that he wishes he never adopted you-he tells you that he should have left you and your sister with your single mother. You were too much of a burdon on him, you ruined his life.

You cry and sob into the now damp corner, wishing deeply that your savior will walk into the room through the door to your left. She would yell at him, maybe smack him again. Although, for now, you are stuck there, your knees trembling and your face getting moist quickly.

Finally, after what seems like hours of yelling and torment... the sound of keys are heard from the other side of the door. She opens the door and slightly hits your head, and once you are noticed by her, you know you are saved as she holds you in her arms tightly, cooing that she was sorry.
