• CHAPTER 5:
    THIS NEW PART OF ME

after the last blood of my victem was drawn, i fell, weak.weak with hunger, a hunger i have never had before.the hunger of adrenaline, the hunger of hate, the hunger of darkness.i have never wanted to kill anyone in my life.i beat that idea by 30.

thats when the lights came.the lights that made you know what you did was wrong.the lights of helicopters circleing up above my head.the lights of cars stopping around this so called crime scean.and the worst lights.the lights that kill.the lights of the cops flashlight in your eyes.just bright enough to not see his face or a gun.many were around here.to many.over dead bodies.over broken windshields.over blood and limbs.and on me.

no one ever talked to me in such a manner as the officer did that night.such a cold lifeless manner.no heart even in it at all.stone cold.he asked me so many questions about me.as he skimmed the bodies with his flashlight.i got a glimce of his face.a very stern looking face, blonde hair.he looked back at me.pointing his light on my face again.he turned around.

on that impulse i got up and ran.running around the cars, jumping over dead bodies.i could hear voices of people chasing me from behind.voices i did not want to see the makers of.i turned the courner as a shot was fired, missing me.i never knew i could do something like this.it felt like i was in a movie.it felt totally unreal.

i ran into a small ally way and vaulted over a fence.jumped up a fire ecscape and climbed up the ladders.got to the top of building.and looked down.watching the bright lights of new york.knowing that in this lit up city, i was a star.well thats what my mind kept saying.but a voice kept saying i was wrong.i am part of wrong doing.i wish i knew that voice was my sanity.

i turned to see the same officer that talked to me.he looked at me with no emotion.just a stare.a stare that if i didn't know what i just did was murder i'd think he was looking at someone else.he dropped his gun on the ground.walked over to me.looked me straight in the eye.he just stared, directly in the eye.then his hand came out of his pocket.he pushed me off the building...
