• Prologue

It has been thirty years since Sakura confessed her love towards Syaoran and everyone lives returned to normal. Sakura became a powerful Sorceress. Syaoran proposed to his dearly beloved and Sakura accepted his proposal. Meiling Li returned to Hong Kong three years after the events of the Void Card incident and Tomoyo continues making costumes for Sakura just incase new cards surface.

However all things good must come to an end. When a warlock named Xian Yowling appears with a green glowing book in Tomoeda the Sakura Cards start to act up. Sakura goes into a coma and Syaoran falls victim to a mysterious spell that drains him of his life energy. Keroberos loses his mind and becomes a wild beast while Yue falls into a deep sleep. However both Ruby Moon and Spindle Sun sense this power serge and with Eriol Hiiragizawa they plan on returning to Japan.

Accompanying the warlock is an assassin who is given orders to kill Sakura. As all of this is happening a shady person lurks in the shadows and a book starts to glow blue, revealing a young boy holding said book. The skies darken and the Sakura Cards are released from their card forms. This startles Tomoyo and she goes into hiding. The Element Cards of Earthy, Fiery, Watery, Windy and Wood conduct earthquakes, fires, tsunamis, hurricanes and tree infested cities.

Seeing all this happening the boy takes actions and uses magical spells to counteract the spells only on Yue and Keroberos. To Syaoran’s dismay he witnesses his fiancée’s untimely death by the cold-hearted assassin. With his life energy slowly draining away Xian Yowling comes face to face with the descendant of Clow Reed. Chanting a spell Syaoran drops dead and the warlock glows a devilish green glow.

Yue and Keroberos realize what is happening and sacrifice their lives to return half the Sakura Cards to their sealed form. Meanwhile Eriol and his guardians open a rift and teleport to Tomoeda, Japan. Using his key of the sun and moon he transfers all his magical strength to Ruby Moon and Spindle Sun in order for them to seal the remaining Sakura Cards. With the sealing of the Sakura Cards Eriol, Ruby Moon and Spindle Sun all die due to the massive energy transfer.

With the Card Mistress, Descendant of Clow Reed and Clow Reed’s Reincarnation dead the Sakura Cards die as well. With his dirty work done the warlock and assassin enter a time rift and disappear into the twilit evening. This is the tragedy of Tokyo, Japan and a funeral was held for both Sakura and Syaoran. The one who was hurting the most was Tomoyo Daidouji. However the young boy who broke the spell on Yue and Keroberos in a nearby tree during the funeral holds a blue book in one hand and a rectangular purple card in the other.

Listen to my tale as we travel through time and space, through times of depression and hurt and through times of fantasy and adventure. It’s a tale as old as time and the story that never ends. This is Overlapping Synchronicity.

    Chapter 1 – Heartbroken

It was cold and wet that day. The two caskets laid there getting soaked by the heavy down pour. Tomoyo Daidouji was weeping heavily over the death of her beloved cousin Sakura Kinomoto. “Why…why did this? How could this have happened? Sakura…” cried Tomoyo as she stood there and getting soaked in the rain in her funeral gown. From out of the tree behind jumped 12 year old Leon Ironheart. “Death is unavoidable Miss Daidouji and you know it to be true.” said Leon.

Tomoyo turned around and slap him across the face. “Watch it little boy or it won’t be a mere slap next time!” shouted the 32 year old woman. The boy didn’t even flinch as well as dropping his card and book. “Listen here lady you have not yet experienced the pains of death like my friends Shintaro Evan, Theo Leo and Mahari Stowell!” Leon yelled back as his card started to glow a deep violet. Tomoyo gasped and fell to her knees. “I’m sorry little boy…it’s just…I loved my cousin so much…and still she hasn’t figured out the secret of life!” Tomoyo cried as she wept harder.

Leon then pulled out a key and chanted, “Key that hides the powers of my destiny! Show thy true form before thee! I, Leon, command thee under our contract! Release!” the key then transformed into a sword and an eerie aura surrounded the graveyard. “What the hell? You can use magic little boy?” asked Tomoyo as Leon went into blind fury. “I just got done stating my name God damn it! Now then if you would so kindly give me some space.” Shouted Leon as his card glowed an even deeper violet.

Tomoyo stood up, took a step back and queried, “Um what are you going to do Leon?” Lyon held his card close to his face and answered, “I shall let you see your dearly beloved again. However it won’t last very long so make it quick.” Tomoyo smiled and wiped her tears away. “Elements of Earth, Wind, Fire, Water and Spirit hear my plea! I command thee to set thy power free! Make me the medium of the light and hear this woman’s plight! Soul! Unity!” chanted the swordsman as he struck the card with his sword.

The card then split into two individual cards and a ghost descended from above while Leon glowed a deep blue. The ghastly spirit then entered Leon’s body and the rain suddenly stopped. A fog surrounded the boy and he started to cry. “Tomoyo…I’m so sorry things turned out this way…but just so you know I’m not alone here in Heaven. I have my mother and my dearly beloved Syaoran.” Leon said with a feminine voice. Tomoyo realized it was Sakura and kissed Leon on the lips.

Sakura’s voice then replied, “I now understand what you meant when you said you loved me Tomoyo. It was a forbidden love between girls and you at least wanted to tell me a little secret. It’s about a man loving a woman and how he fertilizes the egg. You know the birds and the bees and the flowers and the trees.” Tomoyo started to cry and answered, “Yes that is exactly what I meant to say to you Sakura! But how am I supposed to go on living knowing that my number one person is dead? Please answer me this one question Sakura!”

It was too late for Leon fell unconscious and Sakura’s soul went back to Heaven. “No…this can’t be happening…Sakura!” cried Tomoyo as the rain resumed falling. Standing off in the distance is the same warlock and assassin who killed Sakura and Syaoran. “Everything is going perfectly wouldn’t you say Master Xian?” asked the assassin as Xian retorted, “Yes with the Card Mistress dead and the descendant as well as the reincarnation my plans shall fall right into place.”
