• The house was incredibly large. Just off the foyer was a great room, and a large staircase. A grand kitchen and small dining room waited beond that. Then, Bethna took Kalla to the library. It was filled with nothing but antiques. Books, desks, quills, ink jars, everything. Shelves piled on three of four walls that stretched up to the twenty-foot ceiling. A large ladder led from floor to ceiling. It was Kalla's heaven. It turned out Bethna was blind, so every book had brail writing. Matt, Alexis, and Tyler entered last.
"Alright now, I chose you all for a reason; to tell you what you guys truely are. You aren't normal, or even human. I'll explain." Bethna sat down in a large leather chair. The children, confused, sat down on the dusty area rug. "Kalla, you girlie, are a Nature Elf. Matt, you are a very powerful wizard. A werewolf, actually. And you young ones, you, are Quiptons. You have the power of telethopy, and can create astral projections, or copies of yourselves. Kalla, you are a very rare nature elf. A whisp, is what you're called. White whisps in your eyes give you visions, and sometimes you can even create them yourself. You are all the last ones of your kind, and must use this information carefully. Now, Alexis, Tyler, bed." the kids reluctantly exited. "You two, just listen. If you two were ever caught together by the Normals,- the people of your kind who can not turn into humans- you will be forced to seperate. Your love is illigal. Now, bed. For me." Bethna left the room, and closed the heavy oak doors. For a moment in the silence, Kalla thought she heard rusty metal rubbing against rusted gold.
"Matt?" she asked shakily. "Bethna locked us in." she growled. Matt sighed. They sat on the large, velvet therapy chair in the corner. Huge red curtains stretched across a floor-to-ceiling window, and a gold tassle rope hung from the large black curtain rod. Matt pulled it until it opened.
