• It was 9:00 p.m. I was standing near my backyard window, watching my three dogs as they ran around outside. I heard a knock at the door. Running towards the door, I quickly opened it and blinked in shock. It was my boyfriend, Cody. He stood their as if in a rush. I invited him inside, but he said only for a few minutes.
"What's the rush?" I asked him.
He sighed and stepped toward me. "I'm going to New York."
"Moving!?" I said, almost tripping over my feet as we walked toward the backyard window.
"Uh, no. We just have to go there." Cody said and stared out the window to watch the dogs to.
"NO YOU DON'T!" I shrieked, it was so loud it seemed to echo around my house.
"I have to! It's not my choice!" he shouted in panic.
I stepped toward him, standing up to his height. I was only one year older than him and yet he was only 6.1 tall. I was 6.5.
"Your 16!" I screamed at him. "You can move out!"
"No I can't!" Cody yelled. "My mother dared to call the cops if I tried. Even if I ran away she would!"
It was true. His mother had strict orders. One time Cody went to school, a teacher had lied to his mother and told her that Cody had stolen his car. I have a d**k for a teacher. Then the gang he hangs out with stole some old ladies wallet. He was blamed for that to.
I was holding back tears. I looked down and said nothing.
"I will be back, I promise." Cody said, laying his hand to rest on my shoulder.
I was crying now. But I tried not to show it.
    "Don't cry." he said.
I looked away towards the window. My hair moved with my movement. My hazel eyes filled with tears. "I'm not crying, stupid." I murmured.
"I'll be back in two months." Cody said. "I have to go, love you."
He left that night. It was 10:00 p.m. when he left. I dunno how, he said only a few minutes. It took an hour.

Two years later and he hasn't returned. I sat on the window seat and stared out at the sky. The sun was beginning to set on the horizon. The beautiful colors of sunset lit up the sky. I glared out the window.
"It's past two months. You lied to me." I whispered to the sky, as if Cody can hear me. "Your a liar. That was a stupid promise you made."
I got out of the window and went downstairs. Out the front door and into my car. I started the car and sighed to myself. I was going to go see my friend, Shellie. Her nickname is M&Ms. I backed out of the parking lot and drove off down the street. I drove for 2 miles until something bad happened.
I was driving along until I heard screeching in front of me. I looked out my car window and saw a car speeding towards me. It slid across the ice really fast. I slammed on the breaks, but my car slid sideways. The driver screamed. I let go of the steering wheel and shut my eyes. It went completely black. All you could hear was a sickening crunch and an ambulance in the distance.
I woke up the next day in the hospital. There was a throbbing pain up my left arm and down my left rib cage. M&Ms was standing next to me.
"Wow, you suck at driving Skittles." M&Ms said to me teasingly.
"Oh shut up. It was that dumb a** drivers fault." I muttered.
"Don't worry, he got more wounded than you did. I'm glad that your alive though." she said to me. "You have two broken ribs and your left arm is broken."
I was glad to. I didn't want to die yet. I had my dogs and my friends to look after. I was the leader of the group. If I died, then who would be the next leader? The leader had to choose their next leader.
"By the way, your boyfriend, Cody, died one year ago." M&Ms told me.
I looked at her, shocked to hear my boyfriend had died.
    "How?" I asked her.
"His family drove over a railroad. They didn't see the train coming for them. It hit the car and killed them. The only one who survived was their dog, Lily. Lily had leaped out the window before they drove on the railroad. She laid down on the grass to hide. A new family is taking care of her now." She explained.
I smiled. He was finally dead. He had tortured me all his life. Cody would pull my hair or slap me if I was being bad.
"YES!" I shouted loudly. "HE IS FINALLY DEAD! HE WILL NEVER HURT ME AGAIN! THAT STUPID b*****d! AHAHAHHAHA!"
