“Where?” Jimger asked her older brother, Bo.

“The Land of Toviar…” Bo said. “An island just north of here.”

“But why?” Jinger asked. “I like Spotted Lake.” She whined.

“I know, but I got a great job working for Lord Coyote. You know, the ruler of Toviar!” He replied. “We need to go!”

    “Fine.” Jinger said. “When?”

“Boat leaves in three hours. The trip takes five hours, so we’ll be there at 8:00 P.M.” Bo told her. “And, a woman named Ginseng is going to meet us at the Toviar Dock. She’s gonna show us around, you know?” He said.

“Ugh, ok…” Jinger said, uneasy about the idea of leaving Spotted Lake. “Let’s pack.”

    Chapter 1: Welcome to Toviar

As the boat sailed closer to the pier, Ginseng rehearsed what to say to the new residents.

“Um, ok. Deep breath! It’s your first day as a tour guide, just be calm.” Ginseng said to herself.

Ginseng was beautiful young girl, straight out of school, with long black hair and frosty blue eyes. She wore a tattered sky blue dress that reached her knees, although by the looks of it, the dress used to be longer.

Ginseng moved her gaze to the boat. It pulled up to the pier, and a few people walked off the deck of the boat. Then, Ginseng saw her customers.

“Excuse me! You there!” Ginseng shouted. “I’m Ginseng, your guide!” She yelled to them.

“Oh, um, hi!” The girl said. “You are Ginseng, right?” She asked. “I’m Jinger, and this is my brother, Bo. He doesn’t talk too much…” Jinger told Ginseng.

Ginseng noticed Bo was extremely buff, with blonde hair and brown eyes. He was pretty tall, too.
“Oh, well it’s great to meet you.” Ginseng said. “And, yes, I am Ginseng.” “So, welcome to the island of Toviar!” Ginseng said enthusiastically.

    Chapter 2: A New Friendship

“So, where are you from?” Ginseng asked politely.

“Spotted Lake.” Bo told her. “I got a job with Lord Coyote.” He continued. “That’s why we’re here.”

“Oh.” Ginseng said. “Well, you’ll love it here.” Ginseng tried to comfort the tense sounding people, but it wasn’t working. Ginseng noticed that Jinger was playing with her long, blonde hair. Her green eyes sparkled when she looked over to Ginseng.

“Does that calm you down?” Ginseng asked Jinger.

“Oh? This?” Jinger stopped twirling her hair. “Yeah, a little.”

“Mine’s too short.” Ginseng said. “You are very lucky.”

    “Thank-you.” Jinger replied shyly.

“Let’s get going.” Bo suddenly said. “I have work to do.”

“Well, Ginseng, could you help us get to the new house?” Jinger asked, then added, “If it’s no trouble…”

“Oh, sure.” Ginseng said. “Follow me.”

Ginseng lead Jinger and Bo to their new place. It was located in the good side of Toviar, close to where Lord Coyote’s kingdom is. Many shops and things were all located in this area.

“The address is 3243 New Toviar Avenue. The blue house over there!” Ginseng informed the two.

    “It’s beautiful!” Jinger said. “Thanks!”

“No problem! After all, what are friends for?” Ginseng was “winging it”.

Jinger looked at Ginseng and smiled, but Bo said nothing.

“Yes, and I’m glad to have made a new friend so quickly!” Jinger said with a large grin.

“See you guys later.” Bo grunted. He left.

“Well!” Jinger and Ginseng said simultaneously.

    Chapter 3: Meet Neptune

“What do you mean, 200 pounds?” Neptune shouted at the doctor. “How could I be 200 pounds?”

“I’m sorry, that’s just what the chart says.” The doctor said. “You seem healthy, and if it makes you feel better, you don’t look that abnormally…fat!” The doctor tried to comfort her.

“Whatever, I need to leave. The Lord Coyote needs someone to make his meals.” Neptune sighed.

Neptune was an odd young girl, with waist long green hair, and lilac eyes. She wore a lovely magenta dress and black high heels. She has a job as a cook for Lord Coyote.

Neptune stomped away. Since she was a small child, Neptune had anger issues, and stressed about everything. She hates criticism.

    “Fat…” Neptune said to herself. “I’m… fat…”

Then, Neptune heard a voice behind her.

“Your not fat.” A man said. “I, well, couldn’t help but overhear the conversation you were having with yourself. I’m Bo. You must be… Neptune, right?” Bo said, staring right into Neptune’s eyes.

“Uh, yeah, I’m Neptune…” She didn’t know how to respond to Bo. “And, thanks.”

“No problem. You work for Lord Coyote too?” He asked.

“Yeah, I’m the “royal cook”. You?” She responded.

“Guard duty.” He sighed. “I tried for something better, but the positions were practically vanishing in thin air!” He told her.

“Too bad.” Neptune faked her sympathy. “I gotta go. See ya after work.”

“Oh, yeah work…” Bo sulked. “See ya.”

Neptune walked off, trying to stay ahead of Bo. She didn’t like him. She thought he was a little to weird.

Neptune arrived at Lord Coyote’s kingdom. She walked up to the enormous buildings and gazed.

“I do this everyday…” She said to herself.

Neptune walked up to the guard and showed her ID badge. The guard took the badge, just to make sure it wasn’t a fraud.

“Come on, Chamomile, it’s me, Neptune! I’m gonna be late!” Neptune complained.

“Ok! Geez! Just new measures!” Chamomile responded.

    “New measures?” Neptune asked.

“Yes, Lord Coyote is having his “bad feelings” again.” Chamomile told her.

    “Oh…” Neptune said.
