• "NO!" she yelled. Tears trickling down her baby soft face. She watched as the wizard took her husband away. She raced after them. Tripping on her feet and falling to her knees. But only to get back up agian. She watched as they faded into the distance. Tears slowly coming to a stop. She got up and stumbled back to her humble hut. She opened the poor wooden door and slowly closed it. She fell onto her straw bed feeling lonely inside. She felt as if her heart had been ripped out of her chest and that she could live no longer. She knew he would want to her to continue on her life without him but she couldn't bear to. A plan slowly formed in her mind. She knew what she must do to get him back. She ran to the back of the hut and untied her horse,Maybell. She whispered to Maybell,"We must go on a long journey.Be ready by morning." With that she walked back into her hut and heard her horse galloping away. She ate some stale bread and packed the rest of it into her deer-fur bag. She packed her other pair of shoes and a blanket from off her bed for the cold nights to come. She put the bag on her bed and walked to her friends for a proper farwell.
"I must go after them,"she told them with confidence in her voice.
"No! It's way to dangerous and you know what happens to those who dis-obey the wizard!"exclaimed Bethany. The others nodded in agreement.
"It's a risk I must take,"she said. And with that she walked quickly away before they would see the tears clouding her eyes. As the sun fell down and the sky turned dark she sat there lying in her straw bed hoping to fall asleep. She heard the rooster call to tell everyone that morning was here and it was time to work. She quickly got up and grabed her back. She raced out the back door of the hut and called for Maybell. She saw the horse galloping closer to see what all the hustle was about. Once Maybell got there she climbed upon the horse and ordered,"Gitty-up!" and kicked the horses side. As the horse raced away she turned back to see her hut one last time before this horrid jouney began. And turned back forward once she couldn't see it anymore.
