• Shaden opened his eyes. Surrounding him, flowers blooked everywhere and the sun was bright as ever. Clouds loomed lazily over him and the wind gently blew at his pale face.

He blinked, the lifted up his right hand to cover his bright luminous blue eyes from the sun which blinded him. Laying smack dab in the middle of prairie made him want to relax and nap, but that didn't last long.

"Shaden!" he heard. Opening his left eye with the other one closed, his eye darted to his far left. He closed the eye, then reopened both and sat up.

Running towards him was a girl. Pale skined, light rosey cheeks, big honey-colored eyes with short light brown hair over her eyes all formed her cute little face. She wore a short yellow sundress that went a bit higher then the knee length and went barefoot. An orange bernette strapped a lock of her bangs that were full curtained. Thalia.

"Shaden! Guess what day is it today!" she said as she finally got to him and clasped her hands behind her back, excitedly.

Pretending he didn't even hear her, he just looked at her and shrugged. "I see that you've got a new dress." he nodded at her dress. "Wrong!" she stuck her tongue out, making a face.

"Guess again!" she told him. Shaden rolled his eyes. "Oh, come on! You know what it is!" she retorted. Shaden cracked a smile. "Yeah, I know." he teased. "Then congradulate me!" she fussed.

"Ok, ok!" Shaden gave up, besides he was tired of teasing her. He grinned this time as he said it. "Happy 10th birthday, Thalia." He took off something from his neck and placed it around hers. Thalia lifted it up while the string hung loosely around her neck. It was a sea/green teardrop-shaped gem tied with black string that wired around her neck. Her face started lighting up more then ever.

"I knew you'd remember!" she shouted with glee as she tackled-hugged him to the ground. After they finished laughing as they hugged, they found themselves staring at the white clouds.

"No boy would be caught wearing a necklace. Plus, it doesn't suite me," he mumbled as he lifted up a piece of his black hair, and tugged at this own clothes. A white and blue sleeved shirt and dark blue pants.

When things got silent, Thalia began to speak. "Hey, Shaden?" she asked in a small voice Shaden never heard before.

    "Yeah, what?" he replied sheepily.

"You're going to turn into a full swordsmen soon, aren't you?" *young unfully pledge swordsmen abscond with their masters to a certain place to be alone so they can train more and become full pledged knights*

Shaden nodded, not willing to open his lazy eyes. "Yeah, when I turn 15 in Wednesday."

Thalia fell silent and rolled to her left side. Neither of them said word. The day after tomorrow, she though grimly.

    "Shaden?" she asked again.

    "What?"

"Promise me you'll come back to visite me, will ya?"

"Sure." Inside, her heart beated fast and she smiled happily. And the two of them didn't say a word any farther.

"Thalia! Come home for dinner!" yelled a woman's voice. The two sat up.

    "Your mom's calling you, Thalia."
