• Somehow, as much as i hate it, i end up at this damn school once more. A banner hangs over room E-3 in the cafeteria. "Welcome Back, class of 2013!" Cheesey. Well, as long as I'm here, I might as well mingle. I go to a group that used to be nice, freindly cheerleaders, now are (no surprise) whores. I'm reminded of Miley Cyrus for some reason...
"Hey, Em! I got us some punch!" a very good-looking man in his late twenties walks towards me. I've never seen him before.
"Thanks, babe!" I say to him, though i still dont recognize him. I steal a kiss from him.
"Emilee?" says a voice behind me. "Emilee Smith?"
"I recognize that voice." I say cautiously. I turn around slowly. s**t. Katie Slutrie (her nickname in high shool). " Uh, hi, Katie." She ended up just the way we always predicted. She's dressed in a sleevless shirt that only reaches her belly button, a mini skirt and fishnet stockings. "God, look at you!" i say brightly, only thinking WHORE! SLUT! b***h!
"Thanks!" she says, believing i actually meant it. "I work out, but i really dont need to!" I think we all know how you work out! you must be a stay in bed mom! look at those arms! I think, snickering the whole time. They look at me weirdly.
"Uh, who's this?" I say, changing the subject to the buff man beside her.
"Oh, he's just a guy i met a while ago."
    "Where?" I ask
"Why are you trying to get into my personal life?!" she snaps.
"Why are you getting defensive? Its just a question! You know what? I'm outta here!" i yell
"Honey, honey, honey, honey" says the man beside me. "Why don't we just find someone else to talk to?"
"Fine but for the record, I never wanted to come in the first place!"
"I told you, I just wanted to see some of my friends from football."
FOOTBALL?! I married a JOCK?! "I know, I'm sorry. Go ahead and mingle with your pals."
"Thanks, babe." we steal a quick kiss, and he walks off. I sigh and walk around, trying to find anyone I might recognize. Eventually, i see Kailyn. I want to run screaming to her, but i keep my cool.
"Kailyn! It's so good to see you!" I come closer, and almost stop cold. This wasnt the same Kailyn I remember from ten years ago. Her hair wasn't frizzy and all over the place, it was neat and pulled back. She's wearing makeup, not a ton like the cheerleader whores, but subtle enough to be there, just not right in your face. She had different glasses, more modern chic than those ones she had ten years ago. Shoot. I liked those glasses. They were different. She looked very fit, as if she worked out a lot. She came up and hugged me, her husband following.
"Emilee! I've missed you so much! How have you been?"
"I've missed you, too! I've been great! How bout you?"
    "Amazing!"
"Hey, Emilee." says Raven, who just appeared beside Kailyn. He looks the same as I remember. Same long black hair, boyish smile, striped jacket.
"Hey, Raven, you haven't changed a bit. How are you?"
    "Great!"
Suddenly it all comes together. "Wait. Are you two... together?"
    "You just noticed?" Kailyn says.
"Well, yeah. Thats awesome! I'm so happy for you!" I hug them both. "I just want to mention that I so knew you two would end up together!"
"Yeah, yeah, you and Danielle both." She rolls her eyes. "Well you guys were right! I've never been happier!"
"What happened to those eyeglasses we used to love? Remember when I used to steal them and wear them and act like I was you?" I say, laughing. "I was all: 'Hey! Wazzup, Raven? So, since I hate (love) you and you hate (love) me, you wont mind if I take Max to the dance and act like I really like him more than you and make you jealous, right?'" I say, faking her voice. "Remember I used to do that? Hannah and Demetria would not stop giggling all through class!" Raven looked at me, laughing. Kailyn laughed, but it wasn't very cheery. "Oh, come on!" I say. "Even after ten years I recognize that laugh! What's up? Are you really not as happy in life as you say?" I say, winking.
"No, no, I'm perfectly happy with Raven!" She says honestly. "It's just that I thought that after ten years you might have, oh, i dont know, grown the hell up?!"
