    Chapter 1:Beginning of Loss

It was storming hard. Rain pelted the woman's cloak. The area almost pitch black. She was running for her life. She held in her arms a baby boy. A figure approached her calmly as she ran from it. She tripped and fell to her side to protect the baby from the impact. She realized she couldn't get up and get away, as the figure was to close. She placed the baby near her and sung a spell. A spell circle appeared beneath the child and was teleported away. Smiling, she waited for her death.

He woke with a start. His face drenched in sweat. He got out of bed and walked into the bathroom. He had nothing but his shorts on. he washed his face of the sweat and stared into the mirror. "Damn... That dream again..." Obviously, this wasn't the first time he's had the dream. In fact, the last few nights, it's bombarded him. The 17 year old got dressed. In his world, adulthood is reached at 16. It was June 18th, 1452 Lambus time. His hometown is Valkeria, after the Goddess of Flames. He ate his food and drunk his beverage. He's been an adoptee all his life, but to only two parents, one of them an old man, who happens to be the worlds greatest spell-caster, and for some reason, he's been stuck at age 72 and as spry as 35.

Michael left and locked his house. He didn't have much today, So he decided to go to his favorite place. He navigated the city, greeting people as he passed them. It wasn't a small town, but just big enough to where everyone knew each other and still have a bustling place. He arrived at a "experienced" building. As he entered he was greeted by a women a year younger. "Hello! Welcome to Myo's Spell Shop!" She gave a warm smile."Well, Michael, Myo isn't in right now. Will you just be looking around?" she asked."Yeah, I guess. I've got nothing better to do. " he answered.

Later on, he was reading from a book. He couldn't use any but one spell, but he liked reading it none the less. He was accompanied by the greeter, Katrina. They were childhood friends, ever since Myo brought him in. He stared blankly at the page. He wouldn't say he was kidnapped. His previous adopter told him it was his destiny to meet him. Only he never wanted to leave the place. After all, he did like someone there, in the town of Belik. Katrina grabbed his shoulder, bringing him back t o reality.

That night, he decided it was time to leave."Thank you for coming!" Katrina bid him farewell. He walked back to his house, but decided to stop by the park where he played. He remembered the fun he had, but It was also the place where he was aware of his powers. Luck had it that Myo was there to stop him from destroying the town. He sighed and smelt smoke. He jumped and looked at the direction. The direction to Myo's Spell Shop.

He ran to the shop and much to his surprise it was on fire. he couldn't see if Katrina made it out. Casters fought against the flames, as others threw sand and water into it. He helped by getting a nearby hose and watering it down. After the fire was out, he fell to his knees. There was NO trace that Katrina had even been there! But he knew she was still there when the fire started. He didn't know why he was so sure, it just seemed he knew.
