• Memories worn and faded, broken into oblivion, erased, and gone forever never to be regained. The sun's light has ceased to shine as only the dark exists here. The heart no longer beats to keep this body alive....

In a place outside the living world, between Heaven and Hell, I wait in a line to pass judgment on what route my soul must take....

Standing before Heaven's gates I yearn to hear my name called as the angelic guard reads from his list. One by one souls around me float into Heaven's welcoming arms, but not once do I hear my name....

The names have now stopped and I am still standing. Next to me a man's soul cries out. Hell's demons have come for him. Now sobbing, I know my fate. As the demons take me I go without a struggle. All hope I once had is now gone. No feelings of remorse linger. No emotions do I hold. I await my destination as I am ushered through the circles of Hell. Shrill screams pierce through me. The cries of forgotten souls bring feelings of sorrow coursing through me. Now, my destinations is evident....

I arrive at the 7th circle of hell. The circle reserved for those who are violent to others or themselves. I didn't know this would be my fate when I pulled the trigger that would release me. I suppose things don't always turn out the way we want them to...

Here in the 7th circle I await my final judgment. I hang from the mangled branches of my tree as Harpies make their nests around me. All around me are souls who were violent. The boiling blood of the Phlegethon river contains the murderers who are watched over by Centaurs. To those who try to escape the foul river are shot down by the Centaurs who are armed with bows. Beyond my home, as well as others like me, is where those who were violent against God and Nature reside. Their home is the scorching sand, being showered with fire embers that raid down upon their naked bodies. Their cries of pain deafen the silence....

This is where I must suffer. My previous life's actions were in vain. I had only wanted to be closer to God and now I'm further away than ever....

Redemption......the sound of it brings joy to my sorrowful soul, but my path has been chosen and I must walk it. For eternity, I reside.
