• I woke up with something purring in my ear. I opened my eyes and Shika's smiling face took my completely off guard. I jumped and fell back on my butt.
Shika jumped to life and looked over the edge of the bunk bed.
Thank god we hadn't slept up on his bed, the top bunk, I would have probably broken my head open.
    "Gabriel!?" He gasped.
I laughed and held my head in pain. "Ouch. Okay, that hurt alittle."
Shika jumped off the bed and kneeled down next to me. "Are you okay? Did you hit your head hard?"
I waved him away. "No. I'm fine. I was just being stupid and forgot you were sleeping with me, so I jumped out of my skin and I fell on my a**." I laughed at myself, feeling stupid.
Shika blushed slightly and shook his head. "You shouldn't be so careless, Gabriel, you could get really hurt some time, ya' know?"
    I narrowed my eyes. "Language."
    He sighed. "Sorry."
    I sat up, "It's okay."
He hugged my side and purred. "I'm just happy you're okay."
I hugged him back and chuckled. "Me too. What would my kitten have done without me?"
He pulled away and looked at the floor, his face sorrowful and tinted pink. "Died of starvation and bordom."
I grinned and hugged him again. "Probably. But that won't happen, I promise. I'm healthy and still living, so there's nothing to worry about, right?"
He nodded and leaned into me, nudging his face, then nuzzling, his face against my chest. "Right... but, just to be safe, don't do anything reckless and stupid, okay?"
I nodded and petted his head. "Sure. Of course. I guess I should stop J-walking then, huh?"
He laughed and looked up at me. "You shouldn't be doing that anyway."
I looked away sheepishly. "Yeah... I know... but... the legal crossing zones are so far away... It's just easier to J-walk..." I say blushing.
He gave me a 'midget super hug', {Midget super hug: A hug given with great force while sitting down, related to the famous the Super hug (or Glomp)}knocking the wind out of me. "No more J-walking." He purred in my shirt.
I started to breathe again and nodded. "Yeah. I know. I promise." I say petting his head.

We walked through a wide path in the park and Shika stared preditor like at all the birds he saw.
I laughed and patted his head. "Don't eat them, Shika. They didn't do anything to you and they sing beautifully, so why hurt them?"
He looked at me and shrugged. "If you shouldn't hurt something that didn't do anything to you, then why did Master hurt me?"
I narrowed my eyes. "I don't know Shika, but for reason that was, it wasn't good enough, got it?" I stopped walking and turned to him, looking him dead in the eye, fury boiling in my body. "People like him don't deserve to be in the company of such nice people like you, Shika."
He blushed again and looked at the ground. "Th-thank you, Gabriel..."
I grabbed his shoulders. "Look at me, Shika."
He looked into my eyes and his face went the color of tomatoes.
I smiled. "You deserve no less or more than I do, okay? We should be treated the same, don't you think?"
He nodded and smirked. "I guess so."
I hugged him tightly. "No, you know so."
    {I have to go, I might be back on tonight. No promises. Bye, bye!}
