• "Yume." A voice called my name, I looked back almost instantly. "Yes?" I questioned back. I waited a moment for an answer but guessed I was hearing things and started walking again, not knowing where I wanted to go. I hadn't eaten all day, my legs were becoming weak and my mind was off a bit. My head was probably playing games. "Yume." I heard it again, softer, but closer than before. I paused. "...Who wants to know?" I asked. I looked around. I couldn't see anything. "Who are you? What do you want?" I questioned loudly. No answer. Whatever I was hearing sounded very blunt, but I couldn't make out the voice. It isn't anyone I know. I walked on, in a faster pace With the worry that I wasn't alone. I had a little flash light to guide me through, but the beam of the light doesn't go far. "Yume!" The voice screamed, making my hair stand up. I looked behind me again, then around. Still nothing. I could tell this was no mind trance. I started towards the voice. "Where are you?" Trying to communicate. My stomach started to turn. "Yume!" I can tell it's a girl by the high pitch in her voice. I started to run to where I thought she was for what felt like a day. I heard a quiet sound not too far behind me. "Stop!" The girl commanded. I stopped from the impact, my brain listened to her words before I had time to respond to it. "Where are you?" I asked a second time. She didn't answer. My throat and eyes were hurting the way they do when I cry. "Are you afraid yet?" She asked. "What?" I started to shiver as if it were a reflex. She sounded tired and a little quivery. I don't know if I'm shivering from fear or the cold air. "Are you scared of me?" She questioned firmly. I paused for a moment then laughed nervously."Why would I be?" I looked around trying to see where the girl was but it was too dark. "They think I'm scary." She said playfully with her voice moving closer. Her tone made me uneasy. My heart was pounding a mile a minute. "They don't like me." She giggled. "Why don't they like you?" I sweated. "Who are 'they'?" She was settled a close distance away from me, I could hear the playful pit-pats of her feet sliding across the dirt. "They say I'm..." She stopped, still patting with her feet."They say?" I asked, interested. A long pause stood between her and I. I tried looking into what she meant... But I couldn't conclude anything. The long silence made me uncomfortable. I hesitated to ask again. "They say I'm too dangerous." She explained. I was still stumped. Dangerous? Why dangerous? Who were 'they'? I wanted to ask, but my throat was dry, my mouth wouldn't move. I took a deep breath and listened for her. "They said I was too dangerous. Do you want to know what they did to me?" That sentence wondered in my head for minutes. What who did to you? Each time she spoke it was like nails on a chalk board. Something that drives you crazy and gives chills all over. "Ok." I agreed. What was I supposed to say? I kept telling myself to follow along and nothing was wrong, still anxiety ran through my body uncontrollably leaving my breaths shorter and myself more vulnerable. I heard her feet slide closer to me, slowly. I felt a cold gentle touch on my shoulder, faint breathing behind me. I held my breath until my face turned blue. I couldn't concentrate on anything. I'm even colder than I was before- almost like I'm in a huge freezer. "They killed me." She giggled again. My heart skipped. Goosebumps went down my body. "W-what are you talking about?" I asked studding. She laughed. The chill on my shoulder wasn't there anymore. "Could you feel my hand?" She asked loudly. "What?" My breathing became louder as if I were gasping for my life. "The cold on your shoulder, you could feel it right?" I didn't move. "Answer me." She demanded. I didn't want to answer...But I don't want a punishment for not. "Yes." I said. "Look at me." "Why?" I said trying to move, but my body wouldn't respond. "Just do it." she said coldly. "N-no." I got up. I have to run now, things just don't seem right. I breathed in. "G-go away, you're just some kid messing with me!" I walked forward ignoring the girl so she would go away. Once I get far enough away, I can run with out her seeing which direction I went to. "Don't be scared." I didn't look back. "I'm not scared!" I yelled. I started running. I still could hear her breath behind me...every step I took, she was still there. "Go away!" How could she have seen me without a light? "That's not very nice, Yume." She was toying with me. That's when I remembered- I never told her my name. "H-how do you know my name!" I screamed without stopping for air. "I know everything about you." "Then, you're some kind of stalker?" I was losing my breath fast, I can't keep going for much longer. "I'm you!" She said. I slipped over some rocks and fell on my face. My ankle was twisted between two of them and I couldn't get up. I yelled for help but I wasn't anywhere near a village. Her foot steps became louder. She was standing right at my face. I shut my eyes not glancing at her once. "Open your eyes Yume." "No!" I refused immediately. She sighed. "Have it your way." I felt a deep kick in the stomach. a yelp came from me. The pain caused my eyes to open automatically. I looked at her helplessly. "Y-you're drenched in blood!" I screamed. She looked like a girl in a horror movie. Her hair was long and white. She was slouched over, causing her hair to cover her face.
